It is very tiring to have to relearn jungling continually

It is extremely frustrating for some of us to have to relearn to jungle continually. Periodically the role changes completely and there are a lot of paths, champions, strategies and features to try out. Can we have some consistency for a period please? It becomes hard to focus on what mistakes one is making and trying to fix them when half of it may be invalidated by an update randomly at any time. Maybe someone is trying to improve pathing, but then an update comes around and everything you knew about experience and path efficiency suddenly goes down the drain. RNG elements do not help either because they introduce even more inconsistencies and factors that are harder to study to implement in future games. Consistency is one of the keys to improvement, to have a stable environment with which to work.

Possibly it is one of the reasons that there is such an outcry every time that the jungle changes. Also RNG being introduced is bs.

It was also frustrating getting ganked by a level 3 full life double buff jungled while I’m level 2 and giving up any amounts of lane pressure I might have but hey, we cope.

Yet whenever jungle mains complain about their role being reworked once or twice a year lane mains are bitching about how we should just man up. Not like they are dealing with cannon minion spawn rates changing or turret distance changing every season; everything is always the same. In the jungle, buffs and pathing are changing constantly, exp is changing, spawn rates are changing, camps are added, removed or reworked, and items are always changing. It's not like we can just buy a item 1055 from the item's implementation until the foreseeable future, with the oh so leet strats of item 1054 sometimes. You could make a full build out of removed jungle starter items.

It's this kind of "Nah we want jungle to be irrelevant so we can lose our lanes in peace" mentality that keeps the relatively unpopular role of jungle in a constant state of flux. Now we've got like 5 viable champions, two are straight up pick/ban, and any other jungle pick has to work their ass off just to compete, not even excel.

I feel you buddy... They said: "Oh but now jungling will be more spontaneous and you'll have to adapt to different situations constantly" as if jungling wasn't already the heaviest macro play role in the game. Now we gotta predict the future and play with thousands of variables while bot is wondering if they should pressure or not for 30 min.

Would love for laners to feel how this shit goes. Nerf XP for minions, keep the same spawn delays in waves and create a RNG spawning super minion that gives you a lot of xp. It either spawns on your side of the lane, or their side. Goodluck fam.

It's also what makes the game interesting. The constant outlook of change.

People don't understand the fact that without Riot trying different things, the game would be amazingly boring.

I'm sure many people don't realize this, but imbalance is actually healthy to the game. In fact, wishing for perfect balance is not fun, at all. Things would never change, new ideas won't ever come.

But I get it - it takes immense will power and intelligence to understand the good side of what seems to be a "purely bad thing".

The same thing happens with some fighting games. Changes like this are put in place to help close the gap between experienced/skilled and newer players, plus serves to make the game more exciting for audiences.

Notice how we no longer have to keep tabs on things like buffs and dragon anymore, since the game does that for us.

I think relearning the game is fun. It keeps it fresh and pushes meta slaves out of roles they could only play because they abused something broken.

Having to learn it over again forces you to think out how to succeed on your own, not just follow an optimal guide from a pro player that tells you everything to do.

If you are incapable of thinking for yourself, perhaps you just shouldn’t be playing the role to begin with.

Yeah this has been a huge reason why I haven't gone to try climbing yet. Waiting for this shit to stop being in a constant state of volatile changes.
