I like the new runes

They have been getting a lot of flak lately but I thought I'd voice my unpopular opinion. They're interesting, all the keystones are interactive, and I feel like each choice has a meaningful impact for aligning with your champ and situation. I've had a lot of fun trying out different setups, and on most champs there is actual choice. That said, there are a few problems that were introduced with the preseason.

  1. Damage creep is insane. Holy crap. I always ran scaling armor/mr on my champs, and now every tank I play is less tanky and every squishy is easy as hell to pop. I'd like to see some pretty significant buffs to base defensive stats on all champions. The pve is fine, but pvp feels like COD.

  2. Some runes are way more powerful than others. I get that this just needs to be ironed out, but Phase Rush feels insignificant, and Press the Attack is kind of broken. Kleptomancy is easily abused too.

  3. Leveling and loot feels bad. I'll admit that I might be swayed by popular opinion here, but looking ahead it's going to take forever to unlock the things I want. Also, I don't want emotes in loot. I don't like them, I don't want to see them in game. I like champ skins.

I knew problems would crop up, but it's not enough to warrant a revert on the whole preseason. Hopefully these will get fixed, and not just downplayed as "this is the new league."
