how do i deal with fizz

granted i am a vel'koz main so i already know this is a really bad matchup. i know that once he hits 6 he is all cancer. he has 2 mobility moves not even including his flash. his ult has 2 cc's first is a slow and an aoe knock-up. (not to mention that it has a bullshit hitbox)

i know i can zhonya his ult rendering it useless but i have to go out of my way to buy that first which kills my early game cuz its stats. only 70 ap 45 armor with no mana hurts. should i rush it or wait after morello's or just completely avoid fizz except in a teamfight?

edit: looking through gameplay i honestly think this might be one of the few rare actual gameplay question posts. kinda sad.

gonna have to test this abyssal rush next time im up against a fizz. sadly exhaust on vel'koz is a bad idea cuz if im in range to use it im basically dead against an assassin if my e is on cd.

Punish him before 6. If you don't know how to beat him, go play as him and see how people react to you. Notice what games are easier than others and what made it so (just so you know its usually they didn't punish you enough and you got to lv 6 with decent farm and no deaths)

as smart as this option is, i refuse to buy this champ. his playstyle is just unhealthy to me.

Absolutely destroy him with relentless autoattacks and abilities (but don't go oom) at levels 1-5 like you would Akali or Diana. Use the minion wave to your advantage so he can't engage on you without taking a bunch of damage. Once he hits 5 you might want to set up a freeze to get to get him to roam, ping and kill his tower. If he doesn't roam and is trying to kill you instead, freeze the wave in front of your tower and if he ults you, you gotta hit your little aoe knockup thing when his E dash is over.

i always try to bait is stupid pole move and then try to e but then he dashes. i think im just gonna have to wait after e then just try to q him so he uses the dash then i e.

thats if i live that long and im wondering why his ult gives him double cc.

lost chapter rush, folowed by zhonya. you should be fine. His ult is fairly easy to dodge. Lets assume you get hit by his ult once every 2 minutes, zhonya will save you.

Lost chapter not only has an amazing passive but gives 300 mana, (only 100 mana less than morelonomicon) so your early game should not be affected much.
