How do I play Against Braum?[as Thresh]

T4R, I'm a Thresh main and it tilts me every time I play against a Braum. The slowing passive, the constant peel, and the sheer tankiness throws off my game hard. Can anyone give me some tips I can use whenever I'm in this situation?

As a Braum player, the key is trying to avoid his q. Keep your minions between yourself and Braum. Get 1 stack of his passive on you, back off and let it time out. And when you see him fully commit, move because that may mean he is gonna use his ult (or their jungler is near by).

With Thresh, try to land your hooks on him to draw him in so the adc can pepper him (or draw him off them). Build tanky as well (due to Thresh's passive, he can be very beefy) that way Braum can't make a quick meal of you. Use the shield from the Lantern and the slow from your ring.

I play Braum a lot, so i know some ways around him. Best scenario with facing Braum is getting him alone. Force him away from his ADC and he can be an easy target for the jungler. I hope this was of some help. I don't really play Thresh a lot and am usually Lulu, Karma, or Taric against Braum.

Its an extremely naturally hard matchup for Thresh. Braum in the laning phase almost counters Thresh.

This is just something that you will have to gain more experience on.

A few generic tips I can give are:

  • Braum has arguably the best peel in the game (I would say better than Thresh) in the game. SO, engaging on him is pointless.

  • Braum loses a lot of peel after he uses his Unbreakable Will so look to **poke ** after that is on CD (if he uses this ability carelessly) You can land a hook at this point and if they try and counter Flay them out, DON'T use your hook to engage further because he can just ult you and set up a stun on both you and your carry.

  • Braum has poor engage, his ultimate doesn't really travel that fast, and you can see when he wants to all in. He'll try and position for a Q followed by Auto Attacks.

  • Stay **away ** from your ADC, this does sound retarded to do this but his pick potential isn't that great; if he throws a Q to try and engage on your ADC, toss them a lantern and get them out. When your lantern is on CD, stay near the ADC so you can pop your ultimate to disengage when necessary.
