but talon is getting nerfed and lux gets to remain in the same state. hmm i really dont get that.
Riot tends to like champions with decent counterplay being good and they tend to nerf into oblivion champions lacking good counterplay.
Talon instantly warps right behind a target then QWER's them. The only counterplay to Talon is "don't get within 700 range of him".
Which is kind of BS.
Granted: Talon's damage is low enough he generally needs both ult hits to kill someone that's on roughly equal footing and he doesn't silence his foes anymore.
But then Duskblade.
Talon synergizes better with AD caster items than anyone else (his power-spike with season 3's AD caster itemization was crazy high).
His power-spike with the introduction of Duskblade was also pretty noteworthy.
With Lux: listing lazily to the left works vs. her entire combo, all her moves come with a big telegraph and relatively slow projectile speeds.
Also: given the state of the meta, Lux being good ATM is more a matter of Lux being one of the only mages worth picking and picking a mage being useful over Lux actually being OP.
She's useful more due to AP itemization being bad, AD itemization countering mages really hard at the moment, and Lux's core identity revolving around range and utility allowing her to deal with the current meta better than most mages.
