I believe the word you're looking for is "baboon".
Matchmaking is bad because it is probably aimed more at giving games faster and inclined very less towards giving fairer games. There will be players coming up with consolation comments that mmr of new/unranked players are equal to low gold or high silver; this is an absurd cover-up for the bad matchmaking and only way to avoid this now is to dodge whenever you see a player who is 3+ ranks below you when checking players' profile during champ select.
Other solution is to have two options for matchmaking:
- current system for casual players, who don't bother about fairer games or "defenders of matchmaking",
- better matchmaking for serious players; one of the ways to do this is to have players set some prerequisites for the team: rank, level, number of games played, win ratio, kda, kp, no autofill, damage dealt,.... this will lengthen the queue times and can end up with similar results(due to various other factors), but we're atleast sure of games being fair due to visible metrics.
