When you click [x] tp close LoL client it asks whether to Exit or Sign Out. Exit keeps your credentials cached. Sign Out presents Login screen immediately.
Sad they don't say that on login screen so we know without having to experiment or come to forums.
click the [x] in the corner apparently.
