Please help me understand Rengar

Most pre-rework rengar mains that I know have complained about the new rengar, in particular his q not giving attack speed and his w not giving armor. From my experiences in games however, rengar seems to be far more powerful than before. As a support main, I rarely had trouble peeling off a rengar unless he was super fed. Now rengar can 1 shot me.

Obviously something doesn't add up, so I went to look at rengars stats. He has the 2nd worst ad and ad scaling, however 5 trinkets would more than make up for that. How would he get those trinkets though if his damage is so low? Then I looked at his q and quickly realized why he is so strong. Correct me if I am wrong here, but the damage shown on the q is PER SLASH. Meaning it procs twice in a single q. (I am fairly sure this is correct with brief testing in a custom) You might think, so it hits twice. Whats the big deal? (the following is edited due to a mistake reading the damages)

A rank 5 empowered q would have a 784 base with 480% scaling 392 base with 240% AD. So you say oh so he just one shots people like veigar. That seems pretty fitting for an assassin. Nope. Its AOE and on a 4 second cooldown. ALSO the empowered q is not on the same cd as the regular q, so add another 240 base and 140% scaling.

This means a rengar coming out of his ult does 150% AD (guaranteed crit) + 1004 base and 620% AD 632 base and 380% AD (1 empowered q + 1 q) + 170 base and 70% AP (w) + 250 base and 70% AD (e thrown while in air) --- all in the span of 1-2 seconds, and all except the bola AOE.

Recap that's 1424 base + 990%AD 1052 base + 600% AD + 70%AP, and he can auto you for 4 seconds and q empower q again.

The way I see it, a brusier rengar, no matter how many kills he previously has is straight broken. Granted these base numbers are max leveled skills, but I think the point is made.

Please this doesn't seem correct. Someone point out my error and explain how a base slightly less than most squishies hp bar + a huge scaling is worse than an attack speed buff and some armor. (and not even getting into the 50% heal in case that veigar got off his ult while you're in the air.)

Edit add on: Lee sin comes to mind when you see the huge ad scaling and bases, however with lee you have to land a skill shot before you can go in. Or at least put yourself in danger. Rengar can jump from out of camo detection range, and there are no pink wards. Even without his ult (though I dont see why he would go for a big kill without it) he only loses the extra 50% from the crit. This is assuming he is lurking in some bush like rengars (and lee sins) like to do.

EMPOWERED ACTIVE: Savagery's total physical damage is increased to 120 - 392 (based on level) (+ 240% bonus AD).

I repeat Savagery's total Physical damage. Total. The 120 - 392 +240% bonus AD is the damage of both strikes combined.
