A few comments on Kalista, and what you should do if you play/see her in a game (and other things).

Heya,

After seeing multiple posts about Kalista I have decided to put in my two cents. Over the past week I have played her and I realize that she does not need any serious nerfs. I will support small tweaks to her abilities however. While it is true on her "Black Spear" a player must "accept" the offer, there are two ways to use it: Either it can be targeted, or it can be cast on the ground for an ally to accept. Many players just target an ally. I realize that the offer to accept was never implemented, and it should. When you play Kalista you should never ult your Oathsworn in an unnecessary situation such as ulting an ally near death and then let yourself die just to troll. You should use your Ultimate to make a long range engage or to save an ally from certain death and hard CC.

Counters:

Anti-mobility kits are a great way to give Kalista a hard time. I have found that a sustain/poke lane is very difficult against Kalista. For a general safety to counter Kalista, slows and hard CC is what you need.

Fate's Call:

This ability needs worked on. Period. I have not noticed that when I dash I am not placed at my maximum attack range (either that or it actually doesn't). Either the tool-tip needs updated or it needs to be fixed.

Taken from the League of Legends Wiki:

Fate's Call RANGE: 1200 COST: 100 MANA COOLDOWN: 90 / 75 / 60 Fate's Call ACTIVE: Kalista draws her The Black Spear item.png Oathsworn ally next to her, vanishing them and disabling their spells for 4 seconds. Kalista's Oathsworn ally must be within 1400-range to cast Fate's Call. During Fate's Call, Kalista's Oathsworn can right-click a target location to dash there, stopping at the first enemy hit, Airborne icon knocking up all surrounding enemies and landing themselves at their maximum attack range from the target.

Granted Kalista is very annnoying/anti-fun to play with, I have come to the same feelings about seeing an enemy Zed, Yasuo, or Katarina on the enemy team. I just don't care much if they are picked because CC will be able to lock them down. All champions have their weaknesses.

Play that one champion that annoys you to learn why people play them. Learn their individual strengths and be ready for them.

So, please reduce the amount of complaints about that specific champion because you were unable to come out ahead in lane or etc etc etc.

I know I was there at one point (I'm talking about Zed) and then I started learning about how to counter him. QSS for ADC and Zhonya's for APC. Now I don't care about seeing a Zed on the enemy team. Just shows how much you can learn about what you dislike most.

Thanks for hearing me out.

they could start with removing her slow. with infinite dashes built into her kit, and the extra jump on her spear, there is no reason why thats in there.

its almost like they went overboard with tristana by giving her a resetting jump, gigantic auto range, and a point and click knockback in one kit. just too many kiting mechanics stacked on top of each other.

i also feel like certain forms of cc like silences should deactivate her passive for the duration, and slows should decrease her jump range.

Supporting a Kalista is funny (Not in free rotations).

You took your information from the wiki? That's dangerous! * Cites this post that cites a wiki in a paper*

Here's a better place to learn about Kalista, and item stats. http://gameinfo.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/game-info/champions/kalista/ http://gameinfo.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/game-info/items/

Information gathering is always better from the source. Like how "X" champion works. Trial and error can be frustrating, but it doesn't have to be as hard.
