Riot Please Add Damage Taken/Death Avg For Tank Mains
I main tanks. Its the shittiest role to play in the game. You get bullied in lane, you get bullied in the Jungle vs Eve, Rengar, Udyr, Lee Sin, Kha, Shyvana, Shaco...Except for Volibear, but who actually plays him as a pure tank when his only tank stat is his passive that's up once every 6 team fights in China Server. You get the point - no early game, MAAAYBE a mid or late game. But, hey, I like the challenge of knowing how to itemize for your champ in the match up, understanding what you can take, what you need to take, who to peel for, who to peel against, how to peel by knowing what to look for in order to time X's activation, do you initiate, the conditions for initiating and how to do it, etc. Its not like Assassin mains who're all one dimensional - get power spikes, kill your carries, take your wives (scumbags...).
Then the idea hit me. What if we Tank mains have something we can be proud of and share with other noble silent white knight Tank mains? Something that can differentiate normal scumbag assassin mains who play X champ that's known for being Tanky and just building random HP, Armor, and MR items vs and those who put in the time to master the art of tanking like a boss! KDA is an awesome, but it doesn't give much value on the deaths. What's really needed is a simple stat that shows average Damage Taken over deaths per game for say some random sexy awesome badass ballah holla valkyrie of the sun champion like say Leona. With this, you can see who the real tank mains are. The one's who die as Rammus on average every 4k damage per game vs those who die once every 10k damage (http://matchhistory.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/#match-details/NA1/2022973054/31777445?tab=stats).
Yeah, this statistic can be manipulated by just tanking turret shots when they're ahead in a game for no apparent reason. But, thats them giving their enemies a chance for a comeback which negatively impacts their win rate that can ultimately negatively affect that stat (more deaths in losing game).
This statistic also allows more data to back up claims by Challenger Players who're interested in entering the LCS. Us tank mains, imo, are the most solid players you can have in any team. We have to handle the most pressure in any match up which is during the early game because we have to be able to provide that front line come mid game or so while managing against lane swaps, counter picks, split pushers, DoubleLift. But, I assume it must be hard for team managers to find good tank mains for Top lane because the only real data they have to choose players based off of are KDA, win rate, elo, and word of mouth which means they can only really find people who play more carry oriented champions (SHAMELESS!).
Please, Riot. This is all I want from you this Christmas for Season 6. Just a simple avg.dmg/death statistics for champions.
