I'm tired of Yasuo

I'm tired of:

  • His stupid shield that makes poking him really hard
  • His over 9000 dashes even tho he needs minions
  • His tornado that goes 95 miles and has a bullshit hitbox and deals the same damage as his auto attack because hasaki
  • His ultimate that has low cooldown
  • His E that gives buff to his damage for no reason at all
  • His passive from ultimate which ignores armor I want this piece of shit nerfed or reworked. You can say he has bad base stats. I don't give a fuck, the moment he gets his 50% crit chance items those stats don't matter at all. You can say I should pick his counter. That's a valid suggestion, but maybe that counter I have is banned/already picked. You can say I'm salty I lost against a Yasuo. No, I waited some hours after that game to fully calm down You can say this post is the reason I'm Silver V, to which I will respond with elo hell. You can downvote this post to oblivion. Go on, I couldn't care less You can insult me. Ok, why not? I'm fucking sick of this champion. I'm fucking sick of his kit having over 9000 things. I'm fucking sick of me losing lane unless my jungler camps me or that Yasuo doesn't know how to play. I'm fucking sick of people denying the fact that he's not balanced or he needs a rework. Now go on telling me that I need to get gud, or that he's balanced. To which I will laugh. And now that I've triggered the shit out of Yasuo mains I want to say something: SCREW YASUO. Edit: Also Penns reminded me: I'm tired of him holding his tornado for 5 years making me unable to even get the xp from minions when they die.

On a side note thing i love about Yasou His animation and music when he leans against his sword. Seriously though he can be hard to beat. However nerfing him won't work. In order to rid the world of Yasou hate only a rework will. From low to high ello everyone hates Yasous Rivens, Teemos ect.. Why? they can out play you. Thier kits are designed for it. How ever I can tell you a Yasou counter pic. Cassiopeia. No one dashes threw her poison. Or into her ult.

I have a problem with the term out-play. Out-play, to me, is when your opponent is about to kill you and you make a quick decision with relatively low health and resource and somehow come out on top with one or two moves. The other day I was playing Elise and I was up against a Garen with a Jax jungle. I had taken some significant damage, and Jax activated his E and jumped at me under my turret, so I nailed him with a cocoon and he got stuck and killed by the turret. Garen hits his Q on me, and I E in spider form, he tanks damage, I pop back in and bite him and the turret finishes him off as he tried to flash away. That is out-playing. Being able to do 100% crit with 2 items, having a 550 health shield that regens during combat, and nearly instant cooldown on all abilities is not out-playing anybody.

A champion with no resource, almost no cooldown, and tons of damage and shield and windwalls cannot out-play, he can only out-cheap. Teemo and Riven I agree with you, because if you play Teemo without map awareness you die pretty quickly. Riven also has weaknesses, mostly in terms of only doing physical damage and being extremely reliant on melee attacks. I cannot agree on Yasuo, although his E on a 3 second cooldown if it doesn't kill the target would fix most of the issues.

Cass, eh. I'm one game from level 7 with her, and she's one of my all-time favorite champs. However, countering him, I honestly love going with Malzahar although I notice they are screwing with his ult now. Wonder why all the champs who counter him are getting these odd reworks and nerfs..

There was a person in a game not too long ago I played with that was a ten year old who used Yasuo and only Yasuo. His reasoning was that he wasn't good at any other champion, and he used Yasuo to get kills and pentas and posted them on YouTube. I have two ways to tell if a champion is broken:

  1. A person does well with a champion who performs poorly with that class of champion in general
  2. A person can come back from a 0/3 or higher deficit to carry a game and snowball wildly

Yasuo meets both of those criteria. We're all sick of the champ, I routinely beat and kill them but at the same time, I hate dealing with it. I also refuse to say who I'll use against him since Riot finds them and nerfs them purposely so they end up getting crushed by cancer the wonder samurai and his broken buddies.

If you think people like Yi, Yasuo, Xin, Tryndamere, etc do not require significant nerfs, I'm wondering if any of those are your main champions. Seems people who main them have a ton of excuses why their precious shouldn't be put on the nerfing block.

I have a question, if you don't mind answering. How do Plat+ deal with Yasuo? A decent Yasuo is cancerous in every game i play, although i be supp so i don't face him as much.

you pick a melee champion, most of them destroy him ,Yasuo was made to counter ranged champions but i think even ranged champions like jayce can beat him though i don't know if it's true or not

When you're melee you want to just farm and not do anything, if yasuo comes to your range poke him to destroy the shield if you can do it from range like with darius Q do it then if he doesn't have his shield it's the moment to trade, yasuo's damage in early game is extremely overrated his Q takes a lot of time to be cast in early game and has 4 sec cd while dealing nearly 70 damage post-mitigation, yasuo's damage compared to what he can take himself is bad in early game

Rumble honestly just pick this dude and you auto-win the lane without doing so much item 3047 +item 3143 should be considered if you're a bruiser/tank

I see, i guess people get frustrated because they choose ranged champs against yasuo and get rekt and then complain how broken he is. Although i think giving 2x the crit in a passive is wayyy too much for any champ and with 2 core items he can get 100% crit. If i do play top, its usually teemo and a good teemo can eat yasuo especially with a mallet. I don't know how much you hate teemo but i hope next patch oracles cannot disable his mushrooms. Full AP teemo will be viable again :D Ik u hate me now ;0

Probably the thing that annoys me the most is that his tornado lasts 10 seconds. Basically 10 seconds of "dont go near me or your minions"-pressure.. and he can have it up in like 3-4 seconds again lol.

S0kaX1 votes

Thank you, forgot that.

The JigSAW3 votes

The thing I have an issue with is when somebody claims Yasuo out-plays you. Being super cheap doesn't mean you get out-played, same way as if a seven footer beats down a four foot midget with one punch - it isn't being out-fought its being overmatched by a bully.

Take these champions into focus as a stark contrast:

Yasuo has a shield that regenerates during combat, up to 550 health. His Q goes to 1.3 seconds at max rank/cdr and does base + 1.0 AD damage, and on the third shot releases a tornado going about 7 body lengths away applying on-hit effects and lifesteal at full amount. His W blocks any projectile and basic attacks from ranged champs for four seconds and cannot be destroyed. His E -begins- at 0.5 sec cooldown, stacks twice, and is AP and BONUS AD scaling which allows him to dodge everything and anything from skillshots. The ult itself is not so much damage as a full shield grant and 50% bonus armor pen on critical strikes for 15 seconds, which is a red herring. Yasuo with 50% crit has 100% crit so he ALWAYS hits critical strikes. His passive grants double critical strike chance at the measly loss of 10% critical damage. He also has no mana and his ult goes to a 29 second cooldown or less at rank 3.

Camille is a champion who uses mana, has decently high cooldowns at first, and her passive allows her a 20% max health shield for 1.5 seconds of the damage type primarily used of whomever she basic attacks. Her Q has two shots, bonus damage on the first and true damage as a percentage of damage on the second IF used within 1.5 seconds of the first attack. Her W is an AOE wave clear, deals small max health damage and heals her for about 10% of her health. Her E has a 1 (now 0.75 second) stun and grants a small amount of attack speed IF she hits an enemy champion. Oh, and her ult imprisons people who dive her for four seconds (now, removed within 1 second after death) so they can kill her and waltz away. She has no bonus crit, armor pen, low cooldowns, or lack of resources.

Camille has been nerfed SEVEN TIMES in the last three months since her release in December. The shield was 2 seconds long, now its 1.5 seconds. Her Q's empowered shot lost damage, her W slow is reduced, her E mana cost is raised, her E stun is reduced, her ult now vanishes within a second of her death and the W damage was dropped as well. Seven times.

In the last two years Yasuo has received a 10-50 base damage reduction on his E, and gets bonus AD scaling on it to compensate. This was the significant nerf!

Camille doesn't deserve the crap being done to her. Yasuo deserves far worse, but will not receive it. The changes to buff Yi and ruin Malzahar only make the broken champions far more powerful and their counters far less able to do something about it. Have you noticed all the champions who can shut Yasuo down outside of Garen have been basically nerfed every single patch? It isn't coincidence.

S0kaX3 votes

Thank you. You're not the person balance team wants, but the person balance team needs.

IronwallJackson1 votes

In the past two years? Yeah, Yasuo has received little in the way of direct nerfs, but the various hits to his items and masteries have been big hits to him when he's been strong. Let's look at his patch history though. The whole thing

V3.15 Added.

These are a more than a few nerfs, yo.

The JigSAW1 votes

Actually most of those were bug fixes and when he was released end of season 3, he had more damage and his E stacked four times instead of two. That made him even worse. Season 4 had a few common sense nerfs, and if you played him before season 5, you'd understand all of them were called for.

His latest nerf is removing base damage while adding a NEW source of damage to combine with his AP scaling. Now, I've seen Yasuos build Rageblade to do MORE damage with the E than you could before, taking advantage of the AP scale with some bonus AD.

So, season 4 he gets basically balanced and after that its basically all bug fixes and visual updates. Then they raise his shield to 550 health again. The season 6 and 7 patch notes are basically all bug fixes, a buff to his shield, a nerf to his growth of attack speed and the disingenuous "now, he only has the 50% armor pen when he critically strikes" - when he has 50% crit chance, he gets 100% crit chance, so that's every hit.

I appreciate the attempts to defend a champ you obviously like, but if they put his E on a fixed 3 second cooldown if the target he dashes through is not killed many of these issues would be resolved immediately. Nobody should have an offensive attack that has one half of a second cooldown at the first rank and one TENTH of a second at rank 5.

IronwallJackson1 votes

I'm well aware that most of those were bugfixes. Not only was I there for most of those, I can also read, that's why nerfs are in bold text, barring a few errors on my part.

Now, Yasuo's E lost 1/3 (75) base damage for 20% AD scaling that takes 375 AD to recoup the loss. It's a nerf, and even a fully stacked rageblade cover it.

His shield (510 max level, not 550) was terrible before the change, but that buff also made his flow recharge slower at lower levels to create a greater window of vulnerability. His bonus arpen nerf was only there force Yasuo to build crit in order to kill the Forzen Force bruiser build, and it was an overall successful change.

And let's be real, if Yasuo's dash had the sort of cooldown you're suggesting, he'd never be able to engage on his opponents in lane, let alone disengage.

I have no problem with silver players but if you're going to go onto forums and complain about a champ that isn't even good because you don't know how to play properly against them I have no respect for you. There are champs that I hate in this game too. Deal with it.

Wylderthanu1 votes

Come on dude. 6 yasuos? That's it? I don't know how you could use that set of info. And just because these guys spent tons of hours mastering this champ doesn't mean it's op. That's like saying riven was op (before lethality buff) because a lot of people in challenger play her. Your argument isn't even logical. If you are good at the game, you can reach challenger with any champ. Tons of people have made it to challenger with garen

S0kaX1 votes

{quoted}

Your argument isn't even logical.

Says the one telling me I don't know what Yasuo does.

Wylderthanu1 votes

You said his e gives him a damage buff. What it does is go up by 25% damage everytime he uses it up to 100% damage. The boosted damage on his e is almost always used on a minion so the damage shouldn't even matter that much and with the damage on his e after his latest nerf, makes this mechanic almost unnoticeable.

S0kaX1 votes

Still more damage that can be used on me.

Wylderthanu1 votes

Still doesn't change the fact that you don't learn how to deal with certain aspects of the game and just want riot to do it for you

Because Yasuo can be countered by every champion in the game, so no matter what I play I can always beat him.
