garen too please.
some teams are just straight up fighting you for cs, especially with how it factors into your mastery score. its sometimes almost imossible to get stacks, and you have to build incredibly selfish, just to be able to fight your team for minions.
i find myself often just building sunfire cape and ad to be able to waveclear faster or as fast as the mages on my team. i often have to take enemy tower shots and walk into risky positions to get cs, because otherwise the minion waves wouldnt even get close enough to get 1 or 2 before theyre cleared.
edit.: by the way, in nasus case it would give people more of an incentive to build ap nasus, not less.
I'm not sure that it would really be all that necessary for Garen.
I recently had an ARAM match as Garen that I was quite proud of.
I think the mistake that people make is that they think all you do as Garen (or most champions really) in these games is to try and go ham on the enemy champion as often as possible to try to get kills or chunk them down enough to get them to back off so you can push the wave.
I definitely try to help my teammates out when they try and engage or I will try and peel for them when they need it, but I actually focus more on killing minons than fighting.
Yes, you could say that I am taking farm from my carries, but as I mentioned earlier, most of the time the carry is trying to fight, and the minions just end up dying to our minions or the tower. Someone has to get cs. Might as well be me.
As Garen I had the added benefit of being able to back off now and then and regen a huge chunk of my health from my passive. All the while I'm just raking in the gold so that when I finally die I can buy Warmogs and Spirit Visage.
After that point, dropping out of combat for a few seconds means I can heal to full in no time.
The stacks on W I have accumulated up to now from cs on top of my massive health bar makes me tough to deal with already, so now it's time to build some damage.
That is when you start working towards picking up a Titanic Hydra.
The Cleave passive from Tiamat then Titanic makes finishing off your stacks a breeze.
You are also the perfect definition of a Juggernaut with only 3 items.
If the game were to last that long I would probably grab Death's Dance and Deadman's Plate, maybe Randuin's Omen.
I actually never saw much need for boots during that match though. Maybe picking up Frozen Mallet would be good to be sure that I wouldn't really need them.
