Shen, Akali, Kennen, and Zed are no longer Flippin' Ninjas, just regular boring ninjas. The hell is with that? How am I supposed to win with them now? Gangplank is also a lame normal pirate instead of a Mighty Pirate, and Ms. Fortune isn't a Pirate Hunter anymore; and she didn't even have anything to fall back on!

(another) was mercilessly nerfed. His Q lost a silence. His W lost its initial buff. His E lost its value. And his R isn't worth it because of its time and Mana Value...
can't do much anymore. She's strong but not Master Yi strong...
literally, the hardest to sympathize with. She goes invisible but can be seen up close and in turrent range. Her power isn't bad but not very effective. Her ultimate doesn't seem to do the needed damage it could have.

Rew7111 votesHis ultimates reload time is very short and gives a large boost in speed for movement and AS. And reduces time for other abilities. His Q allows for a huge amount of damage with no/small risk. His W allows for a nice heal. His E provides a nice bonus AD (active or not) A passive that gives two attacks...

Fizz has utility, damage, is basically invulnerable, has very few weak matchups, can even jungle well. or zed who has no mana, great poke, great waveclear, massive damage, huge survivability, and very few weak matchups. or kat, who has infinite reset potential, massive AoE damage, safety etc. or talon who has absolute crap tons of AoE assassinating potential, stealth, waveclear, poke, great synergy with black cleaver. Or kha zix, who has poke, stealth, slows for days, ungodly damage, resets, etc. all can bring more to the table than a yi.

Talon... I played a Kassadin against him once and lost so badly due to his silence. But instead of helping the situation by seeing if giving Kassadin back his silence, they take Talon's away. Fizz, has little counter play... unless your Galio, same goes for Kat. Galio's magic resist is very helpful. And his W is the best counter for Kat's ultimate.
So it just comes down to either luck or skill in matches. That's how I see it. Even in draft, it comes down to luck and skill. Like if you're going mid and someone choses Fizz for mid and you are like, I can go either Galio, Vladimir, Malzahar, or Swain to take this fish down. That to me says you just got a lucky break.

It seems like they are just starting to take themselves too seriously, and it is starting to hamper the fun a bit.
PRN5 votesThis is not a new thing. Riot has been doing that ever since season 3. Towards the end of season 3 they started to do awkward videos of "behind the scenes" where they would discuss how League came to be and how "unique" and "fresh" it is compared to the classic RPG world, then followed that statement up with how new Ryze's concept was because he's "not like your ordinary wizard with a beard". Yeah, totally no sarcasm in that video either.
Sadly though thats just how things are. The game has improved from what it used to be, but its a double-edged blade. The changes are both good and bad.

Jungle Lux God6 votesI have a feeling that this might have done to reduce extraneous buffs out of the buff bar. The ninja's flipping ninja buffs and GP's and MF's respective pirate/pirate hunter buffs don't actually add anything to their core gameplay, and were just cool to have.
That said, I probably will miss the ninja buff on Kennen when I play him.

Whenever the enemy looked at those champions' buff bar, they would see "this unit is a mighty pirate" or "this unit is a flippin' ninja" and the enemy would become Intimidated by that fact, causing them to make vital errors that allowed the buffed champions to get ahead.

AFK Push3 votesI find this title misleading, because I can't tell if you are talking about lore change or nerfs to champs. If that is the case GP and MF have gotten buffs rather than nerfs, akali deserves some nerfs (besides I use these things called pink wards). Also, we don't need anymore stealth champions, because that mechanic is just too damn good on junglers, especially when it comes to pub stomping. We already have: Rengar, Kha'zix, Akali, Shaco, Evelyn, Teemo, Vayne, and Wukong. Every one of these forces the player to spend 100 gold just to not get a surprise all in.

Lapison3 votesThe post is in response to a tooltip that appears on ninjas (i.e. Shen, Akali, Zed, Kennen) that would give them a cosmetic buff called "Ninja". When moused over, the tooltip used to read "This unit is a flippin' Ninja!" Said buff also gives a hidden passive; if two or more champs on the same team have the "Ninja" buff, conservation of ninjutsu kicks in and each ninja gets -1 max health for every other ninja on the team. (Fun fact: it used to give -1 AD, but that actually had a huge effect on the game, so Riot changed it).
Apparently, Riot removed the "flippin" from the tooltip.
This is highly disappointing.

Seems in their attempt to have LoL taken seriously --due to the increasing popularity that is its involvement in e-sports-- Riot is making it less entertaining. I've seen ornery posts about the declining lore and other aspects. It's it possible over the next several months League becomes more of a "serious" game and less of the fun and game it began as.

What if more champs had hidden passives, or what if passives from facing a rival did more?
For instance VI: Vi's fustration makes her doubt her judgement, Vi loses 30 ms when running in the direction Jinx is in.
Lapison2 votesIt'd be cool, but those passives would tip the balance of the game pretty badly. The point is that these passives are meant to be fun jokes, and not things that should actually affect gameplay. Doing something like -30 MS is actually pretty harmful to Vi. She'd get locked out of any matchup with Jinx, and people would be dissuaded from playing more than one ninja on a team.
As I recall, Vi actually has a hidden passive with Jinx that gives +1 gold when killing (or assisting in killing) her, and vice versa. Note that it's a fun thing, not something that actually affects gameplay.
(Fun thing: Kha'Zix and Rengar actually have a really cool Easter egg that triggers if they're against each other in a match and certain conditions are fulfilled. Said Easter egg actually does quite a bit.)
