Argument on Guinsoo's Rageblade (and Phantom Hit in general)
I get that
is amazing on people like Yi, Kayle, Vayne, etc. But, this item is utterly ridiculous to build against. On people like Yi and Vayne who have built-in true damage, this makes their damage outputs almost impossible to counter. Vayne is also balanced around the fact that it takes 3 hits to proc her W. Reducing it to 2 hits completely breaks Vayne's design. Sated Devourer was taken out of the game in the first place and it was for many reasons: phantom hit was stupid to deal with and it was exclusive to junglers, and that it promoted an unhealthy playstyle for attack speed junglers which is to simply farm up till you get 30 stacks and spam the right-click button to win the game.
Even as a Yi main, I actually hate building Guinsoo's even if it drastically increases my damage output. I consider it a crutch item as without it, my damage is simply not enough to even remotely win 1v1's because of the power creep of this game
Overall, the Phantom Hit mechanic is a cool mechanic in the game, but it just completely breaks certain champions and makes them impossible to deal with. It's like with CertainlyT champs (except WW; WW is relatively tame and fair to play against): cool and wicked design, but not meant for the game due to the broken design of the champion itself. I feel like taking Guinsoo's out and not putting the mechanic back on any item should at least somewhat balance champs like Vayne and make them more fair to deal with.
