Need help picking main

I love too many champs too much D=.

Currently looking for something that has a super heavy snowball (spooky style like Kat or Akali) but has some form of CC (so far Irelia blends this). When I do ranked games (or even normals, neither is common because I can't stick to a single champ) I usually end up being the engage/disengage factor. I don't mean to, but half the time my team doesn't engage when I think they should (we have 4 fulls and 1 3/4 in health, they have mostly 50% and below....and blew summoners, and my team kites kind of thing). This results in me having so many deaths its pretty ridiculous, which in turn ends up with me being labelled feeder because I start really falling behind.

Please help, I don't know if that made any sense. =( But I want to get into SR, I just keep being indecisive and lose all my lanes or jungle. I know how to use whatever champ I have (except Yasuo) and stay relevant, I just can't lane to save my life since I'm always thinking "Champ XYZ does ABC better than this, why I am using this one? If only I picked them, then I could all in and grab a kill."

Can I say, finding a main isn't all about their CC or Snowball, but about what you like to play. Also, I don't think it's illegal to main more than 1 champ. When I was looking for my main, I wanted an up-in-yo-face high damage melee.

My main turned out to be Orianna Orianna

Just find what you're good at.

If you're talking about laning, don't think of what one champ does better than another. Just focus on winning the lane and not dying. If it's a bad matchup, play passive. Passive play can still win you the lane if you're smart about it. Like, I've only lost lane as Mordekaiser against riven, and if I had played smarter, I could've won.

Picking a main should be about finding a champion that you are comfortable picking blind. This means both being sure of your ability to lane against any champion that someone may pick against you and your ability to fit them into whatever team comp your team ends up with.

I've started maining riven. She snowballs very hard and has a low-Ish skill floor, but a very high skill cap. It makes it super rewarding to play her often. She can also 1V2 with ease if at all ahead, and has a lot of cc. She's also resourceless which is fun.

I really have ended up enjoying resourceless champions. Its much easier to think "Can I do this" than "Can I do this with what I have left? If not, how long should I wait?". Kat and Riven were up there. I also enjoy Irelia and Fiora (gotta buy Fi, tested her in a free week...still saving) because they have resets which makes the first question real unlike having a mana hungry hippo XD. Got any Riven tips?

Sorry for just replying but there are a lot i can think of. To get some good knowledge on Riven, watch some streams. Boxbox is my favorite as he's entertaining and really good at Riven/top lane. There are some cool things about Riven that most people don't know ( third q jumping over wall, auto-ing into each individual q, etc.) :D
