What Happened to the Trials

Anyone have a reasonable theory as to why we still haven't heard the results of the Trials? I'm genuinely stumped by the lack of info... They were tracking and reporting progress throughout the event so it can't be that they're still trying to figure out who one. Maybe there was a tie and they don't know what to do about that, but even in that scenario I would have expected a "There's unexpected tie so we want to do something special but we haven't decided what yet. Stay tuned."

Lately Riot seems to have been prioritizing open communication, and that makes the radio silence on the event outcomes really wild to me.
