Matchmaking Dodging

Matchmaking dodging is both a saving grace and an annoying hassle, however it usually saves players from harmful or hateful gameplay and nearly certain losses. Many players dodge a match due to real life issues coming up during picking or more often due to a troll in matchmaking. Instead of a feature to punish trolls in matchmaking Riot has developed a way to punish the people wishing to avoid trolls, Why?

My suggestion is to reduced penalties to match dodges pre champion selection using an algorithm based on dodges in a 24hr period. 1st Dodge within a 24 hour period results in a 1min re que penalty. With a cumulative effect, 2nd 2min, 3rd 4min, 4th 8min, 5 16min, etc. 10 dodges within a 24 hour period will result in a 1week temporary ban.

This protects dodgers who are trying to enjoy their gameplay experience by avoiding trolls, and those trolled by dodgers trying to ruin peoples gameplay experience.

The lower the punishment the harder it is to get games going.

Possibly but how is it fair to give someone a 5 or 6min dodge penalty for avoiding harassment or obvious trolling?

I appreciate your idea but I can't agree your point of "10 dodges within a 24 hrs period result in a 1 week temp. ban" , that's just punishing those who wants to enjoy game and not wasting time on a lose game with trolls.

How is a ban after 10 dodges in a 24 hour period punishing those who want to enjoy the game, most players don't even play 10 games in a 24 hour period let alone dodge 10 in 24 hours.
