It's not a glitch, you just don't know your item interactions.

Recently, Rossboomsocks and SoloRenektonOnly uncovered a "bug" relating to Frozen Heart and Liandrys. It's not a bug.

Remember, ten years ago, there was an entirely different dev team at Riot. The OG team came from games like World of Warcraft, where much of the abilities and skills take heavy reading in order to learn how things work, to find complex strategies and loopholes to maximize your DPS. If you're not a WoW player and you watch someone playing high level WoW content, you'll probably have zero clue when they get CCed, debuffed, or buffed.

The new team working on League aims to have everything available for easy, visual clarity so you don't have to do much reading (you still SHOULD, there's lots of hidden power in items and kits. I've been playing for nearly 10 years, and I only just learned about Zed's damage spike passive.)

This feature between Frozen Heart and Liandrys has been used by us in the tank community for years, and helped us keep relevant in the era of damage creep. I know, most of you don't care because you just want to play your assassins and instagibbers, but it's necessary to bring the fact to light that this is not a bug, it's a relic of the past that has helped keep tanks from falling out of use entirely.

Woof.

Basically the same logic behind why Yi's R slow immunity and Garen's Q slow removal work against attack speed slows.

Just watched the video. It's cool that you have these crazy builds and stuff but honestly, theorycrafting only goes so far. There's a reason people aren't building those items and it's not because they're unaware of how itemization works or how items interact, it's simply because it's not optimal. Hell, even you don't build those items on Jhin in ranked, you just built crit.

Nice. This reminds me of the old League of Legends where we constantly kept drafting up strats, like bruiser Gragas or tank Annie. It's nice to see that culture of innovation still around even after Riot has forced us into general build paths.

I'm glad to know about these interactions, but having to hunt through comments on forums or read obscure wiki information just to understand basic item interactions is not, in my mind, the essence of innovation. In fact, it's an obstacle to innovation because you can't innovate this idea until you come across the info that reveals how these items actually function in the game.

In my mind, the difficulty to track down and understand interactions like this is a demonstration of how RIOT is not able to keep up with their own game anymore. If RIOT was able to keep up with things properly, then information about the game wouldn't have this degree of lack of clarity for so many years that players can't read the description of Liandry's Torment and actually know what this item does (sans bugs), such as, for example being directed to an Error 404 when clicking on a link to discover what is meant by "movement-impaired". IMO.

One of my favorite synergies is muramana shock passive and eternity passive

I've been running a build on Sivir Top that's been working pretty well.

item 3071 item 3047 item 3025 item 3153 item 3156 item 3814

Really good at peeling people off your carries and you can frontline with this build. With Presence of Mind, you can negate a lot Sivir's mana issues so you aren't required to build item 3508 on her. It's a fun build and with Sivir getting a little bit of buff this patch, I feel like she's a nice sleeper pick top lane.

Don't forget that you can see the debuff from Frozen Heart even if the enemy is in the Fog of War. Kinda useful for avoiding ambushes. Pretty sure the other debuffs work the same way, but I think Frozen Heart is the only one with the range still to not be completely useless to know.

I genuinely don't get how these items interact. How does Frozen heart buff the damage on Liandry's? I'm seeing the numbers increase in the videos but how?

Definitely trying this on Galio mid. item 3110 is super good on him.

I think I remember seeing somewhere back in the day that they did say this was not an intended interaction, but then it just became a feature because they didn't want to change it. This was back in like Season 4 or something tho so I can't remember exactly.

What is "Zed's damage spike passive"?
