Battlecast skins are creatures turned machines that work FOR Viktor.
You can't call her a battlecast while keeping her useless fleshy bits, and saying she's fighting against the battlecasts.
I'm down for a TRUE battlecast illaoi, but as she is now she's flawed. Imperfect. Incorrect.

Sure, the skin is cool, the idea is in the right place, but call her something else if you keep the design, or complete the design if you keep the name.

Yeah I agree the name needs some work, but this is basically how we work internally. This name or "resistance" Illaoi is just how we refer to that concept, with absolute plans to give it an official, awesome name before we ship. Feel free to throw out ideas for naming these too peeperinos! IF this one wins I kinda like the name "Iron Resistance Illaoi" or something like that. I dunno, I draw pictures ;)
"Destructor Illaoi" could be a nice contrast to Creator Viktor.
Thats an incorrect statement. Remember not all the PROJECT skins are on the same side. Mecha Zero Sion and Mecha Rengar are clearly against the other mechas.
Also, Super Galaxy Elise is EVIL. Skins can be for worlds as a whole as theyve shown. One on the opposing side makes sense in that regard.

Frankly she should either be all machine and true battle cast, or she needs a different name AND a change in color palette to be more separate from the Battle cast.
Personally I'm not a fan of the hand tentacle and would greatly prefer those greys and reds on an Infernal skin for her.
Of the three shown, I like Deep Space best.

I feel like it doesn't fit her theme at all. why would someone like illaoi be interested in becoming full metal.
Maybe her and Viktor are partners? Creator Illaoi sounds cool
The skin will probably not win anyway.
They said things are subject to change based on community input so I imagine she could be called Creator Illaoi, and be a creator like Viktor.
And thus my vote for space was cast. The other one seemed too similar to her base look.

I like having a mini lore that she is rebelling against Creator Viktor and his battlecast line.
I think she looks like a mechanic fucking around with viktors failed creations.
I'd be down for a hextech illaoi skin though, or something like that. An alternate universe where she went to piltover and became a mechanic, maybe doing miscellaneous tasks for people like heimer or did some repairwork on blitzcrank once, who knows. She has the right kind of build for it, take the skin as is, change the colorings from battlecast to piltover/hextech, change the idol to some sort of conglomeration of machinery/technology or heck maybe even a toolbox, make the arms maybe less wire-y and more, idk how to describe it, but more rigid with an actual elbow/joint and you pretty much have a decent Hextech Mechanic Illaoi skin.
Thats the entire point of the skin though. Illaoi is a battlecast who ran away before she could be completed.
And lets be honest here. She does make a lot of sense as an enemy of creator Viktor. I mean she serves the goddess of life and fights undead in the regular lore. So it'd make sense for her to be an enemy of someone who wants to turn people into lifeless machines.
Maybe it was her escaping the place where viktor turns the living into artificial? She could have just gotten out before she went full robo. We dont know the full lore of it all so why judge it because its not like the other skins in line? She could be a defect or something
I'm just hoping if they do choose the "Battlecast" option, either they change the name (because that skin isn't Battlecast) or they go the full mile & completely make her a machine.
