Battlecast skins are creatures turned machines that work FOR Viktor.
You can't call her a battlecast while keeping her useless fleshy bits, and saying she's fighting against the battlecasts.
I'm down for a TRUE battlecast illaoi, but as she is now she's flawed. Imperfect. Incorrect.

Sure, the skin is cool, the idea is in the right place, but call her something else if you keep the design, or complete the design if you keep the name.

This name or "resistance" Illaoi is just how we refer to that concept, with absolute plans to give it an official, awesome name before we ship. Feel free to throw out ideas for naming these too peeperinos! IF this one wins I kinda like the name "Iron Resistance Illaoi" or something like that. I dunno, I draw pictures ;)

Glad you're open to name options, i really do like the skin but I just can't let it through as Battlecast. Looks great though!

North88810 votesThats an incorrect statement. Remember not all the PROJECT skins are on the same side. Mecha Zero Sion and Mecha Rengar are clearly against the other mechas.
Also, Super Galaxy Elise is EVIL. Skins can be for worlds as a whole as theyve shown. One on the opposing side makes sense in that regard.

Mecha skins are designed by Yordle Scientists, fully built robots from the ground up.
PROJECT Skins seem to be cyberpunk future warrior sets, with unspecified creators.
Viktor made BATTLECAST. They're his, no one elses. You call yourself a BATTLECAST, you are one of Viktors creations. You are against Viktor, you do not call yourself a BATTLECAST.
Jerry SeinfeId2 votesProject: Cyber + mechanically enhanced people (so far) who either accepted it and sided with their creators or decided that it's not ok. Mecha: A bunch of robots who AFAIK are all on the same side except for Sion who's been corrupted by Creator Viktor. Battlecast: A bunch of creatures/beings that had their flesh replaced by mechanical parts as part of the Glorious Evolution.
All 3 factions exist in the same Universe. While Mecha and Project have rogue units they still fulfill the requirements. Battlecast Require's you to be fully rebuild. BC Illaoi in her current state is a grittier version of a Project Illaoi, she's enhanced not rebuild. The Battlecast lore does include Jayce's resistance, Resistance Illaoi would make sense that way. (the caitlyn skin could simply have it's background swapped for a dystopian future city as it's not that out of place)

Personally I'm not a fan of the hand tentacle and would greatly prefer those greys and reds on an Infernal skin for her.
Of the three shown, I like Deep Space best.

She looks like a mechanic with those goggles and that oil on her. She probably designed and created the robot head she carries around.

Honestly, in a situation where you're leading a rebel group against machines, it helps to know how machinery operates.
Her looking like she could have done a fine tune up on a car just means she has enough background knowledge in mechanics to guess how to dismantle things.

I'd be down for a hextech illaoi skin though, or something like that. An alternate universe where she went to piltover and became a mechanic, maybe doing miscellaneous tasks for people like heimer or did some repairwork on blitzcrank once, who knows. She has the right kind of build for it, take the skin as is, change the colorings from battlecast to piltover/hextech, change the idol to some sort of conglomeration of machinery/technology or heck maybe even a toolbox, make the arms maybe less wire-y and more, idk how to describe it, but more rigid with an actual elbow/joint and you pretty much have a decent Hextech Mechanic Illaoi skin.

And lets be honest here. She does make a lot of sense as an enemy of creator Viktor. I mean she serves the goddess of life and fights undead in the regular lore. So it'd make sense for her to be an enemy of someone who wants to turn people into lifeless machines.

You could call her Unfinished, (Battlecast) Survivor, Imperfect, Destroyer, but not the very machine's she's fighting against.

But why would you still call yourself by the name of BATTLECAST, a series of robots following Viktor's orders, if you're fighting against VIKTOR, and his army of, BATTLECASTS.
Battlecast is Viktor's design and army. Hence why there are various replies scattered through this page with ideas for new names, such as (Battlecast) Survivor Illaoi.
Skin concept is cool, but it can't go hand-in-hand with the name.
Either the name has to be changed, or the skin has to be made full battlecast. Without one of those, she does not fit with the BATTLECAST theme.
