Surrender vote comes up for 15. 4 vote yes, 1 votes no. 9 times out of 10 the player with the worst score is the one who votes no. How would you explain this? Why is it not enough for these players to single handedly throw the game, they also have to keep you hostage in it. I don't believe IQ has anything to do with how good are at video games but sometimes I wonder...
Because if I accepted every surrender vote, 90% of my games would end in surrender... As it is, I vote no and stall, while ignoring my teammates raging at my refusal to ff, until the enemy team surrenders... Because there are so many whining quitters.
Sucks to have games which are already over at 15 minutes but, atleast in my experience, those cases are rare. So I guess it does not harm you massively waiting another 5 minutes so you all can get a successful surrender vote.
As someone who rarely gets leads inside the laning phase
I don't surrender because I know I can macro and turn the game around, or punish a really bad play and rubber band back into the game.
There are times when I do surrender, but they're either because
a player is so insistent on giving up they make the game a 4v6 just by existing in their defeated state
the enemy team is stronger but nobody wants to make engages. That's the easiest way to draw out a losing game and it's extremely taxing
gold lead is 10k+ and the team doesn't know how to respond. 5k if their late-game scaling carry is ahead of everyone else w/ an egirl support since I know that player just won't die.

A lot of times it's because they're about to be in promos into a new division or rank, so when they see they're about to get kicked out they don't want to be. A lot of times people who are in promos get paired up with higher mmrs intentionally, resulting in that.
Usually the worst players are the ones that even bring up the surrender vote. Either them or junglers in low diamond who think they are L9.
