League of Legends is starting to feel more and more like an amateur game.
Little by little, I feel like this game is becoming more unsuitable for competitive play. Although we've made some balance changes, numerous major bugs still exist in champions that can severely affect competitive play. On the "hot" page, you will see some posts about Mordekaiser having over 200+ documented bugs. Even if he isn't played in competitve, there are two issues tied to this. One, other champions also might have similar bugs and are played competitively. Two, the champion's playrate is decreased because of this, causing a lack of diversity in both casual and competitive.
Furthermore, reworks and new champion releases are becoming sloppy. Just now, we have had Camille. While she may not be "strong" at the moment, her kit definitely is far too overloaded, as she is very versatile and annoying. To give a few examples, she has a shield, true damage, a huge gap closer, a glorified version of Jarvan's ult, healing, and a bit of crowd control. Kled is another example of a sloppy champion release. His playrate and winrate remains extremely low. Other than champion releases, reworks of champions such as Yorick have also largely failed.
Overall, Riot definitely needs to take more time in testing champions before they are released and focus more on champion design. Specific rules should be implemented to prevent overloaded kits (if those rules exist, then they aremost certainly not being followed) and Riot should probably delay releasing new champions until the older ones are cleaned up.
