This shit is actually dumb, can someone explain why a tank poppy can do 70% of my life in one combo and get out with 90% of her health still because of bone plate and aftershock? Or how a maokai can get stacked on by 5 people and take little to no damage because of bone plating and aftershock? Its actually dumb because it ends up being which bot lane wins. A fed adc can easily shred any of those tanks, but what if every lane except for adc is winning? What do you do then? You have a 0-0-0 maokai with 3 items walk out of top lane who takes little to no damage while still being able to 1v1 ur adc cause of sunfire, thornmail and tabi. Playing bruisers just feels so bad, and god forbid you take any mage top. Like ryze used to be able to, but now since every top lane tank is capable of doing damage maokai, poppy, or any champ that can abuse the fuck out of aftershock bone plating with the new trinity of items that just make them unkillable while still being able to almost one shot you with their full combo, or completely ignore towers in general? Champs like ali, poppy, ornn, maokai, can just get after shock, and boneplating and towers do NO damage. So their entire team can destroy you under something thats supposed to be like a little safezone for farming. And everytime i mention it, everyone just calls me bad, or says im a "hashinshin wannabe" simply because i agree that tanks are ridiculously strong. Has anyone ever watched an LCS game where there wasnt two tank tops having a wet noodle fight? Its so god damn boring man..

I've been watching the two top teams in NA (Cloud 9 and Echo Fox) for most of the split and in fact the wet-noodle meta that dominated the first few weeks has almost entirely devolved into battles between Gnar and Gangplank, so yes, quite a lot lately actually.

In the actual games I play I tend to see juggernauts like Illaoi Darius dominate over wet-noodle tanks too.

Try a friendly juggernaut or two, or a decent ranged top (I like Urgot) in this meta, if you're having trouble on old-school toplane fighters who are admittedly not doing well in Season 8 for a lot of reasons. Mages are still viable despite what you say - Vladimir is tearing up LCS as well as a mid/top flexpick lately, and Ryze isn't awful either though he's mostly played mid right now.

You might still face an unkillable tank or two, but in general their CS ends up pitiful versus these kinds of champs unless they really, really know what they're doing.
