Orianna and Ahri are a litle obnoxious.
Let me phrase better, im main Taliyah, and i love playing her. I played so much i feel the power budget that was taken away from her, to be able to justify the ult that literally says: "Taliyah hops on a wall towards teh botlane and recalls them, gaining 2 kills". I actually shift of power.
I dont feel the same about Orianna and Ahri.
Orianna has an extremely good lanephase, she is good at pushing, she is good at bullying out the enemy laner, she is good in teamfight, her ultimate makes her good at any stage of the game. Her only weakness is not beeing able to roam.
Which, lets be honest, if you have an ultimate that can win a fight ALONE, it doesnt really matter if you dont get your botlane ahead, you are gonna istantly delete the enemy adc anyway, and if you land a good ult, you delete the support too.
Ahri has a good laning phase, she doesnt get pushed and she can push. Her mobility early/mid isnt as good as Taliyah's, but in late game is not just "better" its SUPERIOR. Her damage is insane, low CDs, and charm is a very good CC.
I dont feel like she has any real weakness.
If i compare my main mid champions (all control mages) to those champions, it sounds jsut unfair.
Ziggs: He has straight up strenght and weaknesses. His lanephase revolves in either pushing, or landing the Q, and if you focus on pushing, you'll run out of mana fastly, even with morello. You dont have a good escape, and if you get caught or assaulted, you're 100% dead, evne with defensive summoners. His potentially weak lanephase is the drawback for a good lategame AOE. Also, the fact that he cant roam good, is coutnerbalanced with his turret pushing potential. If you roam too much, he takes your tower.
Taliyah: Late game her damage is bad. She wont be able to 1 hit an ADC, and this says alot. An ADC with 1 MR item, will tank her whole combo, and out DPS her. Taliyah easly gets ahead tho, thanks to her roam, that cant really be matched, not even by twisted fate, The draw back to this early game pressure, is her lategame suckyness. Fair. Her lanephase is okay, but on the weaker side, If she goes for the lane kill, you give up the pushing, and if you miss the W-E you are done cause if it a big CD and alot of mana. If you push you're gonna fill up the lane with worked ground, that will reduce your damage by ALOT, making it impossible to kill the lane opponent.
These weaknesses and strenghts are clear, exploitable.
Its true that i didnt play Ahri nor Orianna nearly as much as i played my mains, but considering that both ahri and orianna are beeing played ALOT in LCS.
Im not saying that Taliyah and Ziggs are weak, no, specially Ziggs, but what im saying is, if Taliyah and Ziggs' balance "standard" is the one they are aiming for, then Orianna and Ahri seems a litle too good, and vice versa, if it is Orianna and Ahri's standard to be the one Riot is aiming for, there are many champions that need a buff.
These are jsut my thoughts, i'd like to hear other people's too!
for the sustain and then going for
/
is pretty good against her.
I feel like a lot of assassins can win against them. Otherwise on mages, it's about who lands their cc first.
