ARAM: Snowballs Should Just Be For Throwing

I believe Mark & Dash (the snowball spell) should have a different purpose in ARAM. Rather than how it is used/works right now, I believe it should be used to only deal damage; and not to mark (and grant vision to the marked enemy) for a period of time, and within that time have the ability to dash to the opponent. This is because high DPS/burst damage champions can use this spell as a gap closer. I believe this spell should be used for champions (or team comps) who are melee and may have trouble dealing with poke. Yes, obviously ranged champions can still take this spell, but they won't be able to 'abuse' the Lee Sin mechanics (because there won't be none).

This is my opinion.

The problem with removing mark/dash is that is puts a lot of champions back into an unplayable or really poor state without the gap closure. Yes, there are a few champions that can abuse it (my Wukong/ Darius play on ARAM became completely obnoxious with it), but I think those broken players are overshadowed by the number of champs that became viable with it.

Besides, no melee dps champ is going to be more broken on ARAM than high range casters like Vel'Koz/Lux/Ziggs. I'd rather see a general buff to the melee portion of the roster than leave so many of them in obscurity. The incoming nerfs should make it much less broken, anyway.

um Trying to give poke to non poke champs for the sake of making them viable in ARAM isn't really exciting. Considering the snowball would have to do 10 times the damage it does now for that to work.

Ranged champs probably won't want to take snowball anyhow because their extremely squishy. Less so after these next nerfs since it will prevent the game mode from becoming a dodge ball game.
