So I tried a carry support

Since people told me tank supports aren't in meta I went lux support, my best champion. Went 21/7/11 and my adc went 2/14 and my jungler was 3/13. Top was 7/13 and our mid broke even. We took a couple towers when i almost singlehandedly scored an ace but.... we lost due to poppy and twitch going random places with each other and dying waaaay out of position. And rammus wasn't helping all that much either. Are carry supports really in meta? Am I doing it wrong? I didn't ks any kills from my adc and almost all my kills were 100 to 0s. I really didn't start getting kills until after the 10 minute mark, where i just built full penetration. I did have a ss but sold it later when my adc walked into a warded bush and died anyway. Am I playing the wrong carry support?

If it was, as you say, your teammates doing something stupid, then it's not your fault that you lost. If you did fine, try again and hope for a better teammates/worse opponents. Bad games happen.

I'm just worried because my mmr is really low right now. Not all of the games I lost were because of anyone but me, I had an off day the past few days, but now that push comes to shove and I'm trying to raise my mmr so I don't drop from silver 5 to bronze 1 I'm getting anxious.

Give Nami a shot. She's not exactly a carry supp, but she provides so much value it's almost impossible for your teammates to fuck up if you're there to help them.

with the current meta being a 4 man bot gank for the tower first blood you want a support that can protect tower rather than the adc (not that protecting adc shouldn't be an objective as well). this is partially why ziggs apc has become strong atm, he has waveclear, and better early game damage to protect his tower and his execute allows him to keep up in tower damage with the enemy adc. My personal favorites right now are lux, morg, or vel, as all three can protect the tower if necessary while also providing peel (and other utility in lux and morg's case). then again, I'm bronze/silver, so don't take just my word for it.

If I remember correctly the team that gets first tower blood has a 71% chance of winning? I don't have a link so it may be off but it's definitely really strong to get it.
