Autofill in role selection

Honestly, I've loved league more since the creation of guaranteed role slots. Especially since myself, as many others, are only viable at certain roles. Also, not having to fight over what roles, or getting placed in a role thats not practiced, has been a godsend against auto lockers, feeders, and generalized team arguments.

However, today was the dawn of auto fill once again. Although it is understandable that wait times can seem long. Waiting 3-5 minutes a game isn't that bad. Especially since americans are used to that wait time at a fast food restaurant. It gives time for mental preparation or casual conversation to be made during that wait time. Or to take care of meaningless activities away from the game.

The potential for players not knowing a role they are thrown into because of this feature is extremely high. And because of this, there is also an elevated probability for dodgers (creating much longer waiting times), more feeders (because of loss of interest in the game due to the role they're being thrown into), and more team verbal altercations (due to expectations that players understand what they're doing). Even more so is the likeness of players losing interest in the game itself as a result of prior propositions and riots go to leave buster. Yes, there are going to be a lot of dodgers. And yes, with leave busters wait times, its going to be very difficult to find enjoyment in this game when the ability to play is restricted.

Personally, I have already dodged once today. I have tried other roles, and have found that I am only able to preform my best in two main roles. I play jungle and mid lane. Those are what make sense to me, I understand their strategy. I know how to use those roles and champs well. And prefer to stay in an area where I know I can preform well or have the champions to do so. The game I dodged, I was thrown into support. Yes, I understand that many trolls will say just learn it. And although this appears to be a more appropriate course of action. The question I would ask to them is "why don't you learn it?". Regardless, the most feasible approach, in my opinion, is to bring it to the attention of other players and riot through word of message boards. Because I feel that this feature of "autofill" is unacceptable. I hope that others agree.

You are not alone. I also enjoyed the days of knowing what role I was going to play to mentally prepare myself for the upcoming game.
