New Rune system did nothing but take away skilled gameplay.

They're all just so much more potent than ANY of the old Runes OR Masteries. There are only a select few that REALLY abuse them, and they make it near-pointless to play anyone else.

######It should not take me THIS long to adjust to my old playstyle due to how wildly different the potential of each and every champ is at any point in the game.

Riot Games has REGRESSED.

They are now, again, in a state where their game has 20 or so viable champions, and the rest of the roster is near-unviable. Not because the other 100+ champs are weak, but just because those 20 or so champions are just so much easier, so much more forgiving, and so much more powerful on average than the rest of the roster.

Now, Riot's been in the habit of NOT fixing things for the past few years, and instead just making them worse.

Let's see how that turns out for this new Rune system and all of their modern champions.

Skilled gameplay like having 20 runepages so you can choose the perfect one each time? Sure.

That has nothing to do with it.

If you truly believe that only that few champions are viable then you got some other issues man

This clearly is a regression from a personal choice perspective. We go from 14 choices (4 sets of runes, 10 choices of mastery) to 6 choices.

So yeah, there's less expression with less choice, doesn't mean it's any better or worse.

One thing they did great though, is that they removed A LOT of bad choices.

They tried to make a system that puts actual depth into runes and it's been rocky, that's all. Change can happen yet.
