QUINN LIVE DISCUSSION OF POTENTIAL FIXES!!!

Let's be honest with ourselves here. Quinn is just one of those champions that is really awkward stat wise. And considered an adc with an ult that makes her a melee champion... I've had some ideas for her to "fix" her for a while now actually. But I don't know how to PERFECTLY go about it.

I had an idea to make her passive more realistic in Quinn's case or should I say Valor's? Her passive marks them as vulnerable which I see as a opening to put in some damage and some percent armor pen. Which would make waaaay more sense than attacking a opponents weak spot then getting an attack speed buff with a bit extra damage. They are marked as VULNERABLE because VALOR finds the WEAK SPOT on the enemy. So dealing extra damage is fine but IMO the attack speed isn't nessesary for the realism of a VULNERABLE target.

My idea for changing her Q was this "NEW Q: Base damage lowered by 30 at all ranks = 40/80/120/160/200. AD Ratio is now 60% from 65% ->FROM ALL AD SOURCES<- instead of from only bonus AD. Now at the start of the game with runes and masteries you'll have an average of about 72 ad with a dorans blade. Meaning that 60% of 72 is about 43. So added up you'll deal about 83 damage at level 1 with her Q. Which will scale a lot better later. BLIND CHANGED to 1/1.25/1.5/1.75/2 second(s) instead of the usual 1.5. Also the AP ratio is gone from her Q not sure why it was there in the first place to be honest.

Her W is just fine. I don't really see a need in changing it. But then again you guys could help out. Maybe find a way to change it somehow, and fairly i'd hope,

Her E has WAYYYYYYYYY to low ad scaling. Late game you'll deal about 240 base damage with like an extra 40 from all of your adc items. ALLLLLLL OF THEM the ratio is like a 0.01 its terrible. I think it's completely possible to make it where jumping off a low health enemy champion has the potential to kill the enemy. Then again you have to consider having that ad ratio being combined with her passive since it instantly procs it on them. So the ratio is about 60% BONUS AD RATIO. BONUS! Meaning late game the scaling will be about 280 ad? that seems about right. 60% of that is 168. NOT combined with the base ratios. Meaning your total combo will be about a possible 700 damage without crits. With a E and auto combo. This isn't factored into the enemy having armor. So with around the average armor of late game anyone 100 armor = 50% damage reduction. Meaning your combo LATE GAME will only do about 350 damage to a standard wukong. Without crits. With crits you'd do about 450 maybe. This also isn't counting armor pen items or pecent armor pen. So you may deal about 600 damage without crits. ABOUT that much. I'd personally like the ratio a bit higher on it but I don't see anymore ideas for changing her E.

Finally her R... Dear fricking lord... This is my main stop right here... Help me figure out how to potentially fix this... I don't even know man... Like. I can only see an adc using a melee form of speed to ONLY clean up kills... I have no Idea how to fix this one. I can see an idea if they'd add Magic Resist Per Level to her. Considering she's half fighter I can see this working out. If they did that I could throw in some merc treads and make a viable build for her top lane or something. I would however like to keep her aspect of FIGHTER ADC!!! But I just don't know how to deal with the situation the way she is atm. They could just make her ultimate a castable change every so often and give her mr per level. That's POSSIBLE! She could be a good fighter top lane.. Then again they'd have to change the attack speed and movespeed of valor for obvious reasons. Also if they did allow a change of champion from valor to quinn like every 10 seconds or something simalar they'd just have to get rid of the damaging effect in this factor. I really could see some cool ideas for a change on her ult this way. I really want to keep her fighter adc style intact.

My personal quinn change would be these

  • Stats. Quinn now has a scaling MR per level. I'll let Riot choose that. If I were to choose it'd be up to about 58 mr at level 18 i'd guess. Meaning she'd get 1.5 MR per level just about. And
  • Passive REMOVED ATTACK SPEED BUFF replaced by a percent armor pen when attacked. The AD Ratio is about the same. But I suppose it should be lowered a little bit because of the new percent armor pen. How about this: AD Ratio on her passive is now 40% of her BONUS AD from 50% BONUS AD. tooltip now shows that when an enemy is marked you resieve vison of them over the duration of the mark I'll let rito decide how to factor the percent armor pen.
  • Q's Base damage is lowered by 30 from all ranks down to 40/80/120/160/200. AD Ratio is now 60% AD Ratio now from ALL AD SOURCES on quinn instead of bonus AD. Blind is now changed to 1/1.25/1.5/1.75/2 second(s) from 1.5 at all ranks. Also REMOVED AP RATIO (there was a 50% ap ratio on it. I dont know why)
  • W Lowered Valor passive attack speed bonus to 25/35/45/55/65% from 40/50/60/70/80 Everything Else remains the same.
  • E Now has a 20% FROM ALL AD SOURCES Ratio from 20% BONUS AD only. E Can now more effectively interrupt targets by Continuing the flight beyond blinks (Basically it will follow blinks like Lee Sin's seconds Q where he would and will fly towards a LeBlanc who keeps trying to blink and juke it. Also you are now able to Flash behind the enemy mid flight to do a stylish backflip. It'd be useful if the enemy was at you escape route next to a wall you could hop over then you E'd toward them and flashed behind before vaulting then backflip off of them to go over the wall. It'd be hard but it'd be possible. Flash will currently interupt quinn's E's channel and will stop her from vaulting completely.) VALOR FORM CHANGED! Now is a skillshot that launches you toward the direction even over walls such as a dash. Simalar to a Gragas belly bump. Also if timed right you can swap back to Quinn during the dash to do a cool backflip off the target mid swap between valor and quinn.
  • R Now has a small timer so you can swap whenever faster between the two. Around 10 seconds I guess. Idk I'd just like to actually be able to play Valor a bit more since they are a team after all. REMOVED DAMAGE Though the damage was nice it was pretty much a suicide bomb... Lets be honest. Movement speed OUT of combat lowered to 35/50/65%. Movement speed IN combat lowered to 15/20/25%

These are my personal ideas. I really wanna keep the theme of Fighter ADC. That'd be awesome IMO. Also I want more teamwork from Quinn and Valor to be really cool. Which is why I stated the Valor mid E and press R to swap back and to a cool backflip. I really think that'd make Valor and Quinn closer as a team instead of waiting 140/110/80 seconds before they can do some cool stuff. Tell me what you think in the comments below! THANK YOU FOR READING THIS LONG!!!

I personally would try and make her less ADC and more assassin-y. Valor feels like a melee assassin, and Quinn could probably still be an assassin. Honestly, playing her as an assassin instead of an ADC feels like the only way she can be viable in her current state.

You know the AS speed only comes from her W right? If you don't level up W at all, you don't get any MS or AS buff from hitting the Harrier mark (and everything else: it's just horrible. Quinn is really fine right now. The only thing I would really want would be some kind of passive for Valor).

Most of what Quinn needs is bug fixes.

Q - Fine as is. Other people already commented on the AP scaling. Rest of it is fine. Trading base damage for total AD scaling will make her more of a late game champion over early game. As well as that blind change. She's that way because of her AA range and poor late game. You can't take away her early game power.

W - Why remove the AS buff? As you have noted, Quinn doesn't have a lot of scaling. Basic attacks are important to her. More than armor pen.

E - E has low scaling because it comes with her passive. Again, changing things to total AD makes her more focused on late game.

R - I can agree with these changes for the most part. Make swapping more important. Remove the (usually) useless damage.

I'd like to see her changed more into an assassin overall. But requiring Valor to do it properly.

Quinn: R is now one rank like Jayce's. Basic abilities now have 6 ranks.

Passive - In addition to current effects, a marked target can be dashed to by Valor when R is pressed. (Overall this just goes with the animation where she swoops down). No bonus damage is dealt by this.

Q/W/E - Unchanged

R - Cooldown is now 30s. Timer starts once out of Valor form. Going into Valor form will reduce all basic ability cooldowns 4 seconds, this cannot reduce more than 50% the current cooldown. (This is to limit the early game power this would bring.)

Valor: Passive - Basic attacks on champions reduce the cooldown of all of Valor's basic abilities by 1 second. Getting a champion kill while in Valor form will reset all of Quinn's basic abilities when leaving Valor Form.

Q - Unchanged

W - Pressing W will cause Valor's next basic attack to mark the enemy for Quinn. (This is not an AA reset)

E - Base damage increased by up to 100% the closer she is to the target. Scaling increased by up to 100% per rank(remember there is 6 now) the closer she is to the target. (Aka at melee range she will do 320 base + 120% bonus AD).

R - Quinn returns, gaining the bonuses of her W when she lands. If used on a marked target, she will deal it's bonus damage. This bonus damage is increased by 1% for every 1% missing HP. Killing a target with this damage will not reset Quinns abilities via Valor's passive.

Her assassination combo is to:

  • Basic attack marked target.
  • Q/E target
  • R marked target
  • Q/W target
  • AA till E is available again.
  • If target does not die, use R to finish them off. (If needed)

This is a very high risk assassination pattern though. As she doesn't have anything at all really to stay alive. She requires her team to help lock down the enemy team so she can get the kill.

The trade off for this is that she is a viable second ADC when not assassinating. Most assassins fall off in a teamfight once they have used their combo. Quinn will not as much.

Biggest problem is that this gives her more for late game without taking much from early game. Easiest change I can see is greatly increasing her E cooldown early game probably to 20s. Reduced by 2.5s per rank down to 7.5s at rank 6. This makes using this too freely will get her ganked. But she'll still be strong and hard to dive. This will make her much more situational top lane and possibly more fitting mid lane with the increased access to her R.

If a buff at all is needed after this. She can maybe gain a short invulnerability when using R. 0.5s or so.
