While going through the ranks trying to climb the ladder many times I have hit 0 lp I do great in that first game but still lose. Immediately afterwards I am greeted by the demotion page. I would like to know how the demotion policy works and if the player base could check their statistic that judges it in client. Thank you for your time.
Tactical Poro1 votesIf your hidden MMR is below where you're currently at in the ladder and you hit 0 lp you're at risk of dropping down when losing games at 0 lp. You can check sites like Na.op to get a very rough (and I mean very very rough) estimate of what your current MMR is. If you move up to 0 lp from a promotion you have a few game buffer so that you do not fall directly back down if you lose at 0 lp.

SpongebobIsLife1 votesIt's kind of awkward. If you just get promoted you have like a 6 game at 0 lp window and/or a day before you get demoted. If you've been in the division for a few days and lose at 0 lp, you will immediately demote unless your mmr is really really high (this is like when you're getting 28-30 lp win). This is just something i've noticed from playing since s3.

its a 3 game protection from demotion.. (aka bronze 3 to bronze 2) if you ranked from like bronze to silver or silver to gold its a 10 game protetection
after that, if u lose a game with zero LP when u have MMR lower than your current tier u will get demoted

well if you have no games with protection but u have a bronze 2 mmr as long as your mmr STAYS bronze 2 you can lose an infinite amount of game at zero LP and not get demoted to bronze 3.
you can only get demoted with zero LP if your mmr is in a lower tier than you are currently in

it donest need to be tier 5... if u have bronze 3 mmr and your are in bronze 2 you WILL get demoted after 1 loss at zero lp.. but if u have bronze 2 mmr and zero lp in bronze 2 u wont get demoted until your mmr does gown to bronze 3
