Riven

As there are many strong champions in league by nature there is one that typically does better than the rest. At the moment I believe that this is Riven. She takes time to learn the combos but after that it becomes “how long until I get serrated dirk and win lane.” Riot has tried shutting this down in the past with the nerfs but it was not effective enough. The fact is she has too much damage output and I would like to request someone at least look into it. Thank you for your time.

Shes really not that strong if someone can out bully or even just out sustain her she loses And if she gets cc'd and melted down shes not a real big problem Someone like ornn when his w was unstoppable was a real problem

I've been a main of Riven for 5 years, with a 50%+ win rate across multiple accounts each season on Riven. Last season I had a 58% win rate in approximately 200 games with Riven on one account alone.

I have a 20% win rate on Riven right now... what does that tell you?

Riven is currently the weakest she has ever been in the history of this game.

Damage has been increased for every champion due to the new runes almost all having damage tied to them... This makes Riven's snowball not as effective because her shield doesn't soak enough damage even with a lead (and Riven has a pretty massive shield, that's how bad it is).

None of the new Runes are optimal or effective on Riven. She's a skirmisher who must engage often to poke her targets down, which means she doesn't get good usage from Electrocute due to its long cooldown. Arcane Comet gets more CDR from single target abilities, Riven has none. Riven doesn't build attack speed to use ANYTHING in the Precision tree. Riven doesn't build tank stats, and gets minimum use out of anything in the Resolve tree.

Because of the above things, most players are now running the Unsealed Spell book or Aftershock... which both are sub-par on Riven due to their lack of damage. Let me tell you, sub-par runes doesn't stop someone who knows how to play the game. The odds are if you are facing a person playing Riven, it's because they main her. Riven doesn't counter any meta top laners, she's not a meta pick herself, and she is not doing well... No one is picking Riven right now simply because they think she's "OP". If they picked Riven it's because they main Riven and they are confident they're good enough to beat you.

aftershock bro try it with domination second. i have a 86 percent winrate on my smurf with her, and spellbook is good against lanes you have hard kill pressure on. smurf is (xxkatraxx)

Aftershock was pretty troll until this last patch. I did notice that they made it extremely over powered, but I'm not doing too badly with Electrocute in the Jungle, so I don't really see any reason for me to switch. If I have to lane, I'll most definitely be using it, because I don't see how any other keystone can possibly compete with Aftershock right now. Scaling max health AND damage, while giving you A LOT of FLAT resist / armor is simply absurd. I honestly do not see how Riot could let something like this exist as a keystone.

so a champion who is just barely above 50% winrate (with a 50.17%) is better than the rest? [zombie-brand-facepalm]

She get's easily out-traded and now has less kill potential than before due to the lack of CDR early. When she plays against tanks, she has no kill pressure and is bullied by them on top and if she plays against fighters, she gets outdamaged simply because runes at the moment fit the rest better than Riven. Right now Riven has 52% winrate worldwide, but that is because people are still adjusting the ranked season while Riven Mains are just crushing them. Why? Because they are one tricks that played those matchups 1000 times and the enemy isn't that good yet at early season.

Her damage is when gets ahead big against squishies (not tanks), but so is for any champion in the game that is ahead.

You say rushing Dirk is enough to destroy your lane, but do i have to remind you that it doesn't give any CD but just raw damage? She can all in yeah, but after using her abilities the next one is at 8s cooldown. This isn't the case for any assassin because their damage output is a lot higher. Zed for instance can one shot you with dirk, talon as well etc. But not Riven. As i said she is playing against tanks top and Dirk into a tank is a suicide.
