By Riot Only Putting Tier 2 Runes On Sale They Think It's Fine For Tier 3 Runes To Cost Tons Of IP

Why not make Tier 3 Runes 1 IP? Everybody hates the prices of Runes and the major barrier of entrance it creates for newer players, it just makes League of Legends worse, but by Riot only putting Tier 2 Runes on a 1 IP sale, they're pretty much admitting that they think it's fine for Tier 3 Runes to be 1000s of IP each.

"It’s also important to note: we will not be offering refunds for runes purchased prior to the sale, which is why we’re announcing it almost a month out. See you then!" if you're going to announce it a month earlier, you're just forcing everybody to wait knowing that if they try to buy Tier 2 Runes now they'll miss an opportunity later, unless you refund the IP, somebody will get screwed. And nobody buys Tier 2 Runes anyway, so it's not like it matters.

They explained that they can't make items in the store free because of how the store is coded, they'd either have to make a completely separate location for runes if they made tier 2 or 3 runes free, or they'd have to recode the store.

I know people won't agree but I personally dont mind that tier 3 runes are costly. It gives you something to build and save towards. I like the fact they are making tier 2 runes cost 1 IP because people who level have a harder time of choosing between getting a champion or runes, and it will also have them learn and understand runes faster for when they are higher level.

At least be thankful for the changes they made, I've been playing since season 1 AND had to learn the hard way tier 3 runes are only worth using.

Not to mention the absolute mess that the rune combiner was, good thing it has been removed.

They are slowly making progress, it's not the most amazing or efficient progress but it's far better than when I was in season 1.

free runes are bad you know why? because grinding games for full rune pages to get ready for ranked gets you experience. experience you'll use better in ranked.
