How to win vs any top as Rumble

So as my toplaner of choice when I get autofilled. Rumble is someone I feel more comfortable taking mid vs Yasuo than against nearly anyone in top except for Cho'Gath Or Kayle. I've not played him in a while, so some help with managing heat level would help too. If its a matchup I can't win, can it at least be survive instead? Obvously Rumble can't fight everyone well, but what should I do if I find myself against them? I usually don't have to fight them one on one unless I play top, so this is almost entirely new part of the game for me.

Note: I know Rumble has an easy lane against some of these champions.

Tips against Riven and Fiora will also help.

You can't against Darius or Tryndamere. For everyone else though, start and max flamethrower and run in agressively trading whenever the enemy steps up to CS. The total damage of the flamethrower is more than any other trading power outside of Darius's passive and Tryndamere's bullshit random crits (And things like Fiora vitals but those can be worked around unlike the other two). For the first few waves focus on getting and denying the enemy melee minions before that.

Cannons > Melee minions > Flamethrower trading > Caster Minions

Level 2 I usually go shield so the trading is even easier (and faster to catch them before they reach the minions). Ranged, melee, whatever, you shouldn't have any issues winning trades due to the massive base damage of flamespitter. The real issue is going to be their boyfriend jungler wanting to turn the lane into a 2v1 the instant they figure out they can not trade against you.

To be clear, I'm not saying you should be auto winning in lane because some others on that list (Gnar especially) can make the lane mindnumbingly boring with how safely they can retreat trying to bait you into overextending. For them, use the lane brushes to prevent them from autoing at range and just play the grind game.

Not a rumble player and hardly ever see him but id say that you just aggressively push lane with flamethrower and look for teamfights to have a big impact ult.

You lose nearly all top lane matchups. He's not balanced for top anymore. He's more of a mid lane champion now. A few years ago they noticed Rumble was struggling in top so they buffed all parts of his kit. Then recently riot noticed Rumble was winning too much mid so they nerfed him which left him in the shitter again in top lane.

Rumble main here, I have to say Rumble top sucks, it isn’t really problem to go even or win the lane, but unless you snowball like crazy, you wont match the sidelane pressure of nearly every other toplaner.

Majority of matchups are imo skilled ones, can darius land E? Yorick W? Camille E? etc., but as I said, later you aren’t that good at 1v1 unless you are 8/0.

Tp bot playes look sick sometimes, but you could just walk there from midlane.

Idk what to tell you about heat managment, just keep an eye on it, so you can ult or use ability you want(overheating after E, W without Q looks embarrasing).

You get bonuses only when casting with 50%+, some ppl think that they will get bonus when it hits the threshold(you wont get bonus from going from 40% to 60%), but I guess you knew it.

There has been bug for few months, Riot doesn’t care apperently. If you are about to overheat by using your E, you have split second to cast Q, W and even ult(easier with quickcast), try it in practice mode.

Idk what more can I say, strategies would be more dependant on matchups, so if you have specific matchup, just ask.
