Why not just remove the Support role?

It's no secret any non-support main gets hell pissed when they get autofilled support and it's worse for people who've literally never played support before. I get removing autofill would cause devilishly long queues as no one wants to play that shitty role but why not remove the role altogether and make summoner's rift 4v4 or change the map that it'd suit 2 junglers (1 tank and 1 damage)? The main issue is that people who don't constantly play support in high elo tend to suck really really hard when they get autofilled. It's like if you were a straight guy going into a brothel and you were told all girls were taken and only guys left yet you can't get your money back. Ofc you'd either just leave the place or retaliate in an unpleasant way. Which is exactly what i do - either dodge or int/troll since I'll lose the LP either way. OF COURSE I HAVE NOTHING AGAINST HOMOSEXUALITY BUT THIS IS A VERY VALID EXAMPLE!

If anything I'd be much happier if I can jump on enemy Jinx as Yi without worrying about Thresh somehow hooking me in Alpha and ruining my full damage combo. It's like c'mon dood I just needed to get 1 more auto off.

Are you in for removing this lifeless role?

People like support. Yes, fewer people like it than other, more carry oriented positions, but that's not a problem or anything. We don't remove Mordekaiser from the game because only a handful of people actually enjoy playing him.

So what would be your solution? All you really did was complain about Support but you offered no actual options to fix it. This is called whining, by the way.

There are 4 reliable sources of gold on the map. The 3 lanes and the Jungle. What is the fifth player supposed to do? Supporting the team seems like a good call, and because they are severely hamstrung in gold, their items have to be worthwhile or you'll have season 6 all over again.

So what do we do? Make the game 4v4 and change everything about what League of Legends is? Do we add 2 more meaningless roles for each other lane and make it 7v7? Do we have them turn the game into HoTS and let the entire team split gold/exp across the whole map? Do we force them to bracket each "Position" into a hard-set line?

Given the options, and what the game was like during Season 0-3, I personally think they've found a fairly useful balance for the "fifth player" conundrum.

How about we just remove the jungle role since I don't like it? Maybe remove mid since some other people don't like it? How about top? Let's just remove all of the roles and have ranked ARAM instead.

this is a stupid solution to a nonexistent problem, as you get your fav role 9/10 of the time anyway. that means, if you are good at your main roles then you are gonna climb in rank regardless of that one game where you were autofilled, or alternatively, could you learn to play one support just half decent and try to win, you know, insted of just thowing the game in a temper tantrum.

no it isn't, because in your exsample, would the solution (acording to your post) be remove all the guys from the brothel, which doesn't make any sense as there wouldn't be more ladies just because you remove the guys...

if you go in while the support is right next to the ADC, then you deserve to lose that fight, because support are ment to counter assassins/divers.

no one is forcing you to be a traditional support .

but the support role in bot lane came from the meta...

if you want it to change then change it... change the meta but have proof its better then what is currently otherwise it wont change

so how bout you and your duo buddy play bot lane and dont play it meta to change it. see how it works
