Tips for playing Talon?
I've decided to expand my champion playing pool and I've been trying Talon out and he's pretty cool. I was wondering if anyone had any tips for playing him, builds and anything else that could help me!
Thanks in advance!

Got you fam. 400k mastery on this account, 700k on main account. You want to play aggressive and punish enemies for getting too close to you. All in lvl 2 to get a kill and a big lead of farm. If they're ap, rush hexdrinker then follow the regular build path which is to rush ghostblade. My core build is typically something like this: ghostblade, duskblade, ninja tabi/merc treads, bc or edge of night, maw and depending on what i'm against I might build armor or more mr. A mortal reminder is very good for a adc heavy team or a yasuo. You can do a few tricks with him early too that I like to do. Q to a minion to sike them out and use your rake for heavy damage paired with your aa for thunderlords. You can dive their ass if you're ahead and they're hiding under tower like a coward, just rake, ult, q and jump over the wall next to you. Keep that harass and punish up with him. He's not a passive champion so if you play too safe, you'll most likely fall behind and not snowball.
Since rework, Talon is responsible for 25% of all First Bloods.
Try getting IE for 1shots with Q in normals. It's probably not optimal in ranked, because enemy team will try and stack armor.
Talon...i may not main him but he is one of my 3 top champions and i have the knack of him.
you already saw one guy below tell you that he is a pretty aggressive champion and such is actually true. Talon is something tyler1 fans refer to as an "Alpha champ" (i laughed for minutes before resuming my writing). Talon harrasses, talon kills. Talon roams and then he kills more. at gamestart go W-Q-W-E for the first 4 Levels against ranged and Q-W-W-E against Melee matchups. the lvl1 Q start is ideal for very early harrass and good trades due to you AA-Q crit-AA ing them for a thunderlords proc and already half-healthing them, which makes an ideal setup for an lvl2 all out with your W-Q AA ignite and maybe one more AA.
Talon is someone you cheese your kills with, he is the perfect mixup between kled and kayn, you roam over walls because why not, and you kill, HARD. As for builds, it can strongly wary, depending on your playstyle and mastery. Mastery are 2 choices to go thunderlords or stormraiders surge. Summoners, always a flash and either an ignite or an exhaust. Stormraiders and/or exhaust are really difficult and should only be used under the garuantee that you can with talon cheese the living fuck out of your games, they are difficult to use AND a nightmare to master.
As for builds, start with longsword and refillable potion then try to rush your way into a Dirk OR an hexdrinker if the enemy is an mid to longranged AP champion like anivia, vel'koz or xerath. those 3 are gonna be your most difficult matchups, because you cannot kill what you cannot reach. back to the Build, go Dirk/ Hexdrinker and then rush a ghostblade and then either a duskblade or a ravenous Hydra and then the respectively other item. Boots are either Mercury's or Tabis, depending on the matchup. If the enemy has a lot of immobile enemies you can even start out with mobi boots and then switch them into one of the other 2 after min 20 or so.
For the full Build, i myself usually go Ghostblade, Merc boots, Hydra, Duskblade, Black Cleaver, Deaths Dance OR Dominik's regards OR an IE, depending on the enemy comp. Dominiks is good if the enemy has a lot of health, usually Comes with ADC's like ezreal and corki who get extra health from building an Triforce. IE is fantastic to cheese if the enemies are squishies that have no means to escape your Q crits, you will nearly oneshot them per instant. BUT i recommend deaths dance because it is the most adaptible item and gives you great sustain which you will lack lategame.
One trick, again as the other guy in the comments displayed in the earlygame is to Q a dying minion, rake and AA them and then Q again. Q restores half the CD on everything it kills, be it minions, Monsters, epic mobs or champions, so cheese that cooldown hard. come lvl 6 your lane is practically won assuming you are not facing an anivia. she is the one champion you simply cannot win lane against unless you get hard ganked, mind that. Luckily she will be an easy kill later on.
Back to laning phase, at lvl 6 you can all in people even undertower. Q in, throw your W, ult, AA them, retreat in a way in which your rake can deal the second damage proc on them and either just flash out or hop over a wall, whichever is faster for an escape. Be warned thought, as talon you are THE assassin, but also THE rusty bat in the field. you fall off HARD. Come min 30 is where your nightmares begin.
You Need to be positioned properly at all times, you Need to ambush and assault the backline from over the walls. as a talon during teamfights you have absolutely no chance to succeed, you can be caught off guard way too easy and due to you having no escapes (other than maybe ult and run away) you will die a horrible death. The longer the game goes on, the smarter you Need to be, your aggressivity Needs to adapt appropriately or else you could twist the whole game and cause your team to lose since in most cases you will be the Primary source of damage.
Thank you all for the tips!!!! They're so in depth! I really appreciate it!
