Varus ideas and discussion
Sooooo with the release of the Dark Star Varus, I have fallen in love again :D. However, playing him I can tell hes currently having some identity issues. He feels at home in the mid lane as a great addition to a poke/pick comp. He CAN sorta fill the adc position in lower elo of course, but high elo requires mobility, zero to low mobility carries that can function normally bring some form of massive team fighting aoe.
Varus doesn't tap well in to any keystones, nothing feels "GREAT" on him. I'm pretty sure his Q is currently being treated as multi target and not getting the full deathfire touch ratio? Jhin is the epitome and poster boy for functionality with deathfire touch, along with his high AD ratios because of passive and getting the treatment of his abilities being treated as single target spells, it feels great. Varus poke build takes a while to reach any form of respective AD numbers to get any form of returns from deathfire touch even worth the keystone choice. As well as being a hit and go type of champ, in mid lane getting a few autos here then landing a skill from distant, he doesn't use the Fervor enough to make it an "at home" choice either, as well as the recent change to fervor stacks only 1 per landed skill. Its an even worse spot to be in.
This post is sort of a high light of current issues I see plaguing Varus and would love any input or ideas from other players. Feel free to start discussion on what could be changed or done to bring Varus more in to the spotlight and on par as a decent and strong pick in niche comps etc.
