velkoz is a HARD counter to any champs without a dash, hard counters arnt supposed to exist in league. to balanced this you need to remove the slow from his ulti. a true damage beam that slows for a crazy amount is just too much, i shouldnt HAVE to take a champion with a dash vs velkoz.
I haven't seen a Vel'Koz in super long. There are bigger balance problems in the game anyway. He's only an immobile mage. :P

I plam him so much, and honestly when it comes to other immobile mages it's all about whose a better player. If I lose lane it's because I did something stupid or they had good jungle pressure....except brand that asshole cleans my clock almost every time.
He has a low play rate. If he's hard countering other immobile champions, then you must be facing a VELKOZ main. It's common to encounter a main if the champion they're playing has a low play rate. From my perspective, VELKOZ feels like he counters a lot of champions but I'm a VELKOZ main, I'm just very experienced with him.
is very strong in the correct hands.. but i don't think he is nerf worthy. hell his "mage update" was such a HUGE nerf to him i think asking for another would be overkill
