Counterplay to Malphite

I was Aatrox, playing against Malphite top. I usually do well early. My problem is when he Malphite starts maxing E, slowing the shit of my AS; Because of his E, i always try prioritize AD>AS, so i build Ravenous First. I usually have a window to get an kill early, after buying Tiamat. AA reset + Ult, i have some nice burst. Is this wrong ? I was arguing with somone in-game who told me "Ravenous vs. Malphite? What a f noob!!! BUY BOTRK!! NOOB!!!".

I absolutely think Botrk is useless vs. Malphite because :

Malphite E anihiliates Botrk AS
Low AD - Low AS - Low dmg
6% HP on hit is useless vs Malphite, as Malphite usually stacks resist, not Health. Am i thinking wrong ?

Both Ravenous Hydra and BotRK are nice items against malphite, as you can sustain yourself and push the wave. As MLDzXnRRR said, you often don't need to actually fight Malph in lane. He is terrible at farming under his own tower, so pushing the wave (make sure to buy plenty of pink wards to avoid ganks) is highly effective against him.

Well, he counters you, but there is no reason to fight him. You can pretty much ignore him and farm. Also Rageblade is a core item on champs like Aatrox, Trynd, Jax, Irelia etc atm. If you can bait/ dodge his E, you can probably kill him.

Not so core on Aatrox unlike others. With Rageblade vs. Malphite E, it would take ages to stack it. And even when you will stack it, one R and you will get one-shotted, considering he does ~400 dmg, while you have 1k HP @ lvl 6-7.

Build item 3140 quickly after Botrk. This gives you mr to reduce his damage and you can use it to remove the AS slow. Later you build item 3139 which isn't a totally bad item on him to build mid/late. This also gives you the ability to get out of some sticky CC if you get caught.

when playing AS champs vs malphite, the best you can do is buy waveclear item 3074 item 3087 , you pretty much can never fight him ever

Check this guy destroying Malphite with Aatrox.

There is no way you can win a game if you only play farm simulator with Aatrox.Especially vs. Malphite R.

What baffles me is why people think should be OK for Malphite to counter an endless list of champion pool (AD/AS based champs), while he is only being SEMI-countered by some off-meta picks.

Hell, if you check champion.gg, even Cho'Gath & Vladimir, whom i thought would be Malphite biggest counters, have <50% winrate vs. him... Healthy champion some say....
