Can we discuss Prisoner Island? Again?

I had a 60% winrate up until Plat 5, I was like hey maybe I can get higher this season. But with matchmaking, I'm pretty sure the more you win, the worse teammates you get until the game evens you out back to 50% winrate. It goes "how far can we push you until you can no longer carry?" In my case, it was "terrible players can be carried regularly, but kiiiiinda can't carry intentional trolls/feeders/afks."

Ever since Plat 5, it's basically a battle of which team gets the intentional feeder. When I win, it's because they had a troll. They surrender at 20. Not fun. I don't even get to do anything. When I lose, it's because I had a troll. This ends up being 7/10 of all my games in Plat 5.

Is Plat 5 the worst division to be in? It seems like everyone here who isn't going for Diamond is basically pleased with their goals and they play just to fuck around. I'm not sure. They certainly don't care anymore.

Prisoner Island is basically the concept of forcing intentional trolls and terrible, evil people to play with each other, so they are trapped on this little island and can't torment the rest of us. It's been asked for a lot, but Riot has turned it down every time because they want Ranked to be skill-based.

My argument is... They clearly aren't skilled if they're int trolling...? And they aren't gonna rise that way. Just don't make us get them in matchmaking so people who actually want to play can rise?

I mean, I know that if you just play enough, you'll eventually rise... I guess... Since everyone has to deal with them. It's just particularly frustrating and makes you tilt so you play worse, so you have to take breaks or w/e to calm down... it slows everything down.

If people aren't reported ever, make them play with people who aren't reported ever too. Basically.

The thing is, if they implemented Prisoner Island, they'd probably get more people playing ranked. That's one of the major things that turns people away from Ranked. And people who play more Ranked are likely to play and spend more, probably? I know so many people who've quit because normals just didn't feel worth playing anymore, they wanted to play ranked, but it just felt totally pointless and too stressful. I guess it's supposed to be kind of stressful, but your team intentionally trying to ruin your day just isn't my idea of... well, something I want to try at.

Anyway yeah I'm salty cause I got this guy in my last game and he int fed and spammed slurs the entire time. Would really like him to be on prisoner island.

Prisoner Island already exists thanks to ranked restrictions forced to play normal draft.

So you lost at 33:55. Seeing as both nexus turrets are down, I would presume that your nexus was destroyed as opposed to a surrender.

You had a reasonable score, 3/0/3... but how do you have 0 deaths in a game you lost? Why would you not defend the nexus to the death?

I'd rather have a "feeder" who would defend the fucking nexus than someone who tries to protect their score just so they can make a thread about feeders and trolls.

I think the better idea would be NOT having a "prisoner island", but maybe an "Unskilled Ranked" level below bronze 5.... call it the batter's box of bronze. Put all the people below a certain statistical mix of KDA and/or W/L %. Feeders, for example, would be grouped as people having more than an average of X deaths per game. Either they are feeding or they need to play more "unskilled ranked" games to ramp up their skills..... thus, they don't get in and ruin games for people who are in ranked to advance themselves by virtue of their skills and teamplay. This should help weed out feeders from unskilled lvl 30's, I think, because the feeders will eventually tire of trolling other trolls or unskilled..... and the unskilled will get better and move up in the world, so to speak. After playing promos for Plat 3, I went on a losing streak with trolls every game, noone wanting to go support and so on. Now I'm Plat 5 and don't play ranked, because I know that it's waste of time.
