Is this balanced?

I heard about the whole tanks doing damage craze so I tried it myself. Most players say that it is the items and not the champions that make this tank meta unbalanced so I tested it out on my main, Vel'Koz, or in this case, Tan'Koz. It turns out that Tan'Koz works well. Despite all my tank items, I still did the 2nd most damage in my team and more damage than all my enemies. I believe that this works thanks to Vel'Koz's high base damages and true damage with his passive. http://i.imgur.com/wHhPsbW.png?1 http://i.imgur.com/IrByTkQ.png Here's the link to the game: http://matchhistory.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/#match-details/NA1/2174432642/204962128?tab=overview

Do you guys think that this is balanced?

repeat over 20-25 games and then draw results. i troll my friends a bit with ap zed and stuff and iv got results simlar to this a few times. 1 offs dont really mean anything its repeatable results that matter

I don't need really need to repeat it. Repeating it only changes my teammates and the end result of the game. Even if I didn't get all the kills or get the win, the fact is I still do damage while building tank. Thats what I really want to show. Plus it's supported with the same reason why Tankali works, high base damages. All the numbers, except for the damage dealt to champions, are just there for decoration. I will repeat it anyway.

sigh i guess we gonna see ap zed and tank velkoz in the pro scene. if your so sure of your results just repeat it. http://www.learner.org/jnorth/images/graphics/tulip/anchor_chart_sci_method_lg.jpg your on the 5th step just repeat it enough times to draw a fair conclusion

Welcome to season 6, where everyone goes tank and does more damage than if they built like they are Actually supposed to. I mean, tank fizz, tank ekko, tank akali, tank velkoz, hell, even a tank Vayne does more damage than adc vayne..

it's a huge problem and riot seems to not want to address it...

As Benjamin Franklin put it, "Join or die" you gotta join the tanks or die in game.

And that is a serious problem. because all Vayne needs is just BoK and some AS then the rest is just tank items from there and she is immortal.

Velkoz is a bit of a special case. He does much more damage anyway simply because of his passive. Dealing true damage will benefit anyone when it comes to just dealing more. On top of the fact that he is a champ that has 4 damaging abilities. Again adding to Velkoz's ability to deal a ton of damage.

Now this doesn't disprove or discredit what you are trying to show, but doing it with a champion that already is stacked with ways of dealing damage you aren't really impressing me with this data.

Do something like a tank , janna, or even bard and get top damages and you'll impress me

Would you be able to see it? You're not on my friends list. If you can see it without being on my friends list than I'll put the link.

As someone has probably already said, Vel'Koz is like the many that can easily tank off the current items in the meta thanks to his passive. If a champion has a kit design that allows them to either be sticky, or already deal a combo or kit's worth of damage without the need of scaling items, then they'll do it regardless of what the meta dictates. It's why certain champions, a la Fizz and Ekko, were chosen; their bases and what they brought were already high damage, so going tank let them do what their predecessors did, only better since they can stay alive and soak on top of doing damage.

With Vel'Koz, you were doing true damage, which is enough for you to do damage in the game anyway as Vel'Koz does a majority of his damage around it. If you're ever up for fun, play Tank jayce or Tank Kassadin. The current items of the meta allow them to do what they could do prior, but with a stronger impact than before :D.

Tanking, however, does not work if the champion you picked to tank with does not have the bases or scalings to boot with it. If they need scalings to stay alive, they can't tank, and therefore to tank with them is suffering on a whole new level.

Simple answer, Velkoz has low AP scaling, so most of your damage comes from base values, so level advantage is more relevant here than AP items.

Your whole team was ahead, (they are all positive), while the enemy team was all negatively balanced.

Out of chance, you should get good matches with the weirdest of builds, Vel just gets an upper hand here as his AP scaling isn't high.

Vez also kinda has an advantage over Irelia which can't farm from a distance, your early armor items just made her unable to snowball. She also neglected building armor shred items, in fact, built assassin items which get countered by your build
