Question about demotion
So I know below plat5 you don't decay in rating, but if you are at G5 0LP is there a chance of being demoted because enough players get promoted into Gold? I guess this question also applies to any rating below P5.

pretty sure only challenger pushes people out because of other people coming in
all the other divisions either have no decay or automatically lower your LP/demote you regardless of what rating or how many other players are in those divisions after some number of days of not playing (28 for plat-diamond, maybe less for high diamond and master? I forgot).
Theres no limit on number of people in any given rank other than challenger, it'll just make more versions of the tier (it'll all be gold, but one gold player might be in "lulu's assassins" and another in "Jannas scouts" and so on) so things don't get overwhelmingly full.
The only way to get demoted from gold 5 to silver 1 is from losing a lot of games at gold 5.
I looked at the ranks decay thingy because I got promoted to Plat5 and it takes 28 days of inactivity to drop to plat5 to gold1 etc.
