The problem with Ascension..

Is that the vast majority of LoL players have no concept of objectives.

"What do I do?" is a question so frequently asked, you'd think Riot never put out any posts related to Ascension, like ever.The hundreds of YouTube videos on Ascension must not exist either.. strange. Getting in game only to have chat fill with "Wtf is this?" or "Idk what i'm doing" is quite disheartening. Then your team is down 150 points to 80 and you sit there wondering if it's even worth finishing..

Not trying to be mean or pick on "new" players, but seriously, read up on it, watch videos, do something other than jumping in and getting wiped 25 times whilst getting no points for your team and raging because you keep dying. If these modes are supposed to be "fun," your inability to learn the basic objectives of this mode made it very un-fun.

I'm prepared for hate and down votes.

Or you could take the literal 60 seconds it takes to explain the mode and stop being uptight about it.

You must never have had to explain anything to community member before, as 60 seconds wouldn't cover much and it wouldn't sink in..

I've done it several times pre game. I say

"Rave to 200 points, kills one, objectives 2, ascended 5, map is a circle and trinket to to to platforms"

Most people understand that and if needed maybe one more sentance to clarify anything. Has been sufficient so far.

Anything else?

Not sure, but I think you are saying my post doesn't help teach people the mode. Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe you are hinting at that? (I am bad at detecting sarcasm.. ;)

If so, it's not my place to teach every person how to play a game mode. As a community, we should take personal responsibility to make sure we know what to expect from a game mode. I myself read about it and watched numerous YouTube videos of others playing it, as this is my fist time with the mode. I didn't ask anyone for help in understanding it, and I feel like the community shouldn't either. Just my personal opinion though.

Of course, if you weren't being sarcastic, then my previous statement is moot.
