How is this matchmaking fair?

So i am leveling my second account so i can play with my brother who is in bronze because i am gold. For some reason the servers believe that my account has the mmr of a high plat/diamond player so i keep getting matched with those players when my entire team is gold/silver. why is it that i am being matched against such good players when i don't even have a full rune page and a full mastery page? it makes no sense.

Your first mistake was playing on a smurf account.

so because i am playing on a smurf account i should get matched with people who are at a way higher skill than my entire team? your comment makes no sense. Most players who are anywhere above gold in ranked have smurf accounts. the only reason they should punish someone like this is if they are purposefully trying to ruin new players games which i am not. I just want to be able to help my brother out a little bit in ranked and get him better at the game

You may think you aren't intentionally griefing the game for new players but you are inherently. Yes you have a smurf solely to play with your friend but with the skills displayed on your smurf account, you're basically playing them with your main account with gold ranking without the gold ranking border. Just be a cool kid and show off your fancy border by playing games on your main. It might entice new players to strive for ranked as well.
