As a top-jun main, the first lesson I learned about top lane is to play like there is no jungler. If you have to ask for help, then top lane is not for you. Are you playing a champ that has no CC, slow, or tank? Do u have zero pink wards all game? Is your yellow trinket always full at 2 wards? Are you on tilt and can not accept your own failures? Are you fighting Garren that can press q and move double the speed of both of us?

Good luck on that island.

I got more important shit to do. I don't have to gank you. There are other lanes in the game. I'll be bot where they have pinks and their shit together, right next to the dragon.

This video sums up everything I want to say during a live game. I'm not your damn coach so I just mute you. You can wallow in your self pity while I snowball bot lane. You know the lane not threatening me to afk, or calling me noob trash for not having cheat codes to fly across the map to your pushed lane with zero pinks. Fyi it takes a while to run from bot to top. i'm not your superman. Git Gud. Save yourself.

games are won and lost on bot lane. this was from a game i had earlier today, where top even asked me for early ganks, but there just weren't any good opportunities. bot lane, meanwhile, was not only having trouble, but were against jhin and nami, making them relatively easy to gank, and mid is just a great place to swing through on your way to and from your various jungle camps. Top usually just isn't an ideal place to gank, and the other lanes commonly are.

This is quite a nice video, one of many on the topic, unfortunately most of bronze/silver/gold junglers only understand half of them. "I don't have to gank you" and "I don't need to win your lane" is only right if you are doing something more important with your time.

Also scrapcomputer is plain wrong in some points - when he says "you lost your lane, it is your fault" he says about overextending and stuff but that's not always what happens - even if I avoid dying or getting damaged at ganks, enemy jungler attention will put me behind - that simple, I lose cs coz i need to back off, enemy has time to lifesteal for free etc. Now, it's fine not to help laner who is behind, it is their responsibility to fall behind as little as possible, but if jungler at the same time doesn't do anything to equalize the pressure somewhere else, it is his fault team is falling behind as a whole.

At some point he says "jungler never cost you your game, never". He is pretty biased. Jungler is part of a team, he can be reason of losing as well as other 4 players.
