He's really, really good at punishing bad fundamentals, especially in laning phase. And good god, are most peoples fundamentals bad. He's a champion that thrives on punishing peoples mistakes; people don't like being punished for their mistakes. Therefore, they dislike Yasuo.

yes that's why dopa(#1 player in korea) says yasuo is broken, cuz he's bad at fundamentals.

Dopa's a TF main. Hard to take his opinion on Yasuo seriously given that fact. And forgive me if I trust the opinion of practically every other pro saying that Yasuo is no big deal vs. the lone dissenter that mains a champ that's hard countered by Yasuo. Hell, Dopa also said that new Ryze sucks, and that clearly ended up not being true.

because of his oppressive and not punishable play style.

Clearly youve never played darius in yasuo. People complain so much that yasuo has no counter play but i beg to differ. A good Darius, Trundle, Malz, etc can ruin a Yasuo's day. I cant stress enough how damn good of a lane Darius has against Yasuo

Too strong level 1,2,3,6 and lategame, manaless spam, high mobility, many people fail with him and feed, he can also block ultimates - which annoys many mages. You can see challenger gameplay vs Yasuo and people play very safely vs him early even with champions that counter him.

How is he "too strong" but allot fail at him?

People just refuse to learn how to play against him. They get chased through their minions and killed and think he's op when they should know not to stay by the minions. Or they ult and get windwalled, then cry about him being broken when they should've baited the windwall out to begin with. Honestly most people don't have the patience to beat Yas. Sure he can punish you hard for your mistakes but you can do the same to him. And he's pretty damn squishy once you get rid of his passive shield, even if he's building bruiser.

really , so how do u get rid of his passive shield when you're a melee without loosing the trade. it's easy for a ranged champ to proc the shield with an aa before engaging but there's no way you can do that with a melee without loosing the trade unless we're talking about a champ that is designed to win prolonged fights like darius. the thing with yasuo is unless you're playing against a bad one you can't really beat cuz he can always comeback into the game . and he will eventually outscal you with his easy farming and massive wave clear.

Well almost every single melee champ in this game has either poke or mobility. Proc his shield using one of those two, then trade. If he's playing comeback then you should be winning hard because yas is stronger early-mid game than he is late game, as his damage does fall off against tanks and bruisers.

Same effect with Riven before her popularity died out. Too many people are stupid when laning against him. Plus his kit gives him way too many tools. This coming from a Yasuo player. Snowballing gets out of hand too fast with his broken passive
