Turns out Taric truly is outrageous

After seeing the Taric + Ardent Censer build at Worlds last night, I decided to try out Taric for myself for a few games, as I had only ever played 1 game (an aram) with him since his update. The result? This.

Having never played a single game on Summoner's Rift, I managed to go 15/7/61 over 3 games, winning all of them.

Here's some of the silliness that is Taric: Just solo tower diving the enemy ADC at 20 minutes without ulting

Remember all of that damage I just took? Me neither.

I get that he's not really that difficult of a champion to play. That's half of what I'm trying to say here. He's really easy to pick up, and very effective and aggressive. I may have just found my new favorite support. Considering his main limitation is his mana, I might consider going Morellos just so I can regain 20% on each kill/assist. I'm sure Iceborn Gauntlet would just be even more stupid.

ability 1 > 3 autos > ability 2 > 3 autos > ability 1 > 3 autos > dead.... a fed taric, and one that knows what hes doing... can easily kill low mobility champions (like adc's for example)

The thing is, I just picked up Taric today, so I wouldn't even classify myself as knowing what I'm doing.

this is only goning to work this patch... they are removing the heal on hit from ardent censor...

i don't know what that has to do with the clip.. ardent censor doesn't work on yourself and it doesn't heal on hit... it makes the person that gets hit lose 25 flat hp

And in fact, the new version of ardent does work on yourself (does flat damage instead of life drain though), so taric+ardent is actually going to be somewhat stronger next patch.

well "flat damage" means resistance apply to it right? it technically does "25 true damage" right now so are they gonna be different?

I use "flat damage" in contrast with "% damage", without necessarily associating it with a particular damage type.

I don't have a PBE account and S@20 just says "20-35 on-hit damage (based on opponent level)" without reference to damage type, so I don't know what kind of damage it does. My intuition would be magic damage rather than true damage, but if it is true damage than taric will actually become a disgusting tank/tower melting force.
