Aurelion Sol Problems

So, far i've done two games and each time we've had AS in each game. Which is fine! I don't mind he seems pretty fair in terms of his abilities. But, my main issue is that we had two both fighting in mid lane and during team fights i couldn't tell the difference between the circle orb thing. Whether or not it was my teams or the enemies and i spent most of my time playing Super Mario. Is there any remedies for it or is it just pay better attention which is fine i understand it's suppose to be a zoning tool but two in normals feels weird. I know it won't matter in ranked.
