Reporting for killing a lagger?

Someone in my most recent game was lagging apparently and the person kept dying not on my team. But, he kept saying he could report us for it.. Is it possible to report someone for killing a lagged person? I know it's bad etiquette can anyone let me know?

Yeah, no... He CAN report you for it. He can report you for anything he likes. But there's nothing wrong with you killing a guy when he's lagging. Nothing for you to worry about.

If I'm playing hockey and the guy's stick breaks, I'm not gonna stop and wait until he gets a new stick. I'm gonna laugh, skate by him, do a 360 and then stick that sucker into the top shelf.

Jesus just do away with reports.

People are way too sensitive soon people will be gettibg repoeted for winning 1v2s. Just have lytes autoban scan every game

Doubt it, as you said it's just bad etiquette but if you're lagging you shouldn't be playing right now

The only thing someone accomplishes by you for that is reducing the value of their future reports. It is a bit BM especially if it is repeated. But that is on the person lagging to avoid being somewhere that he can be killed, not the opposing team for not leaving him alone. What are they supposed to do, let someone slowly kill you being 20% effective because of their lag and you can't fight back?

If he is lagging, he is already ruining the game for 9 other people. You should camp him for the rest of the game as punishment.

See that's where their arguements coming in.. When everyone would team fight this person would pop their ult and cast spells then just stand still and die... But, what am I suppose to do not kill the person? Even if they throw 1 spell out it's a spell that could of made a difference. So, I'd kill the person and they threaten to report being as it was a 5 man group i beleive they probably did it.. No response from the auto system yet tho..

It is their responsibility to ensure they have a stable connection when they play.

If they are lagging, they are at fault and you are merely punishing them for it (by playing the game normally).

It is similar to killing a champion who had been DC'ed for a significant period of time when they come back into the game. It might be considered bad mannered, but it isn't reportable (and if it is Ranked, you should be taking every advantage you can get).

In short, it is not reportable. There were merely being salty and ignorant while refusing to take responsibility for their mistake.

That is, they were arguing "it is your fault for killing me while I'm lagging" rather than accepting "it is my fault that I'm playing while I'm lagging".

Nope. If you are lagging you shouldn't be playing the game. Report the guy lagging.

If the enemy is lagging, killing them is not a reportable offence. Is it 'bm'? Possibly. But if you think about it, a person who is playing with awful lag should be that more careful when laning/roaming. Ultimately, it's their choice to play with the lag (Edit: As in, they decided to not check to see if their internet is acting up, and don't bother to try restarting client to fix it possibly,) I say they're as fair game as anyone else.

That's why you don't get mad in CoD if I get killed for taking a drink of soda instead of both hands being on the controller, I'm not going to shout "I WAS DRINKING SODA QQQ" because ultimately, I decided to play the game under a circumstance that hinders me.

That's just my two sense however.

Its not reportable, i mean he could do unsportsmanlike, but I doubt that would even count for anything. Its just BM to kill someone who is severely lagging, because it can change game to game, and them not knowing it.
