Newish player, Looking for a champion pool

Wanting help to choose a champion pool.

I haven't chosen a position as of yet, so looking to experiment and grow with different champions.

I'm looking for a very small champion pool for each lane. 2-4 champions (in case of bans) I'm looking for champions that I can grow with as a summoner. Ideally, the champions should be versatile, in that they work well with many team compositions.. and can fulfill their position adequately, as well as being able to grow with my own skill and game knowledge.

Champion pools for different positions can overlap champions of course.

Thanks to everyone in advance for any replies.

I appreciate any help or insight your willing to give!

Cheers,

Xikini

My recommendations. Some of them are more difficult to learn, but I believe these would work pretty well if you were to play a blind pick and unsure how your teammates work with one another.

Top lane - Darius Galio Jax Kled Shen Fiora Mid lane - Ahri Annie Gragas Orianna Syndra ADC - Ashe Lucian Twitch Jinx Support - Janna Leona Nautilus Thresh Blitzcrank Jungle - Hecarim Rammus LeeSin Warwick

Mid: Lux Annie Syndra Ahri Malzahar Zed Orianna ADC: Ashe Caitlyn MissFortune Jinx Jhin Lucian Support: Morgana Lux Karma Sona Blitzcrank Janna Leona Thresh

For jg and top I'm not too sure, I don't really play those roles, I can try and recommend you some. For support, I would definitely recommend learning, Morg, Leo, Blitz/Thresh and Janna, just so you have some versatility.

I chose straightforward/easyish champions, just so you could mainly focus on learning the role and not some of the intense kits some champions have. But let me know if you're up for the challenge. :P

Man those other people basically listed all of the champs that do ok in each role

  1. Maokai Can be used in Top, Jg or Support and does well in each. Extremely strong right now and fits into any comp. Can carry or be built as utility/peel/tank. Learn him and his use of saplings in the bush well, especially how to place them to fast clear in the jungle. Every camp except wolves can be abused with enhanced saplings. As support you'll give lots of peel and CC along with vision and zone control with saplings in bushes.

  2. Morgana Again multi lane support, mid or even top. Very gank resistant, huge AP scaling for solo lanes, make picks or engage for teamfights and save carries to win games. Learning how to aim and predict movement to land Q snares are huge and will help with landing skillshots on other champs as well. Fits in any comp to be initiate or peel. Can choose crank up AP to carry or be more utility

  3. Swain Fits midlane or top. Adds CC and AP damage to the team where AD reigns right now while being quite tanky mid-late which is useful especially if the rest of the team shitpicks into an awful comp with lots of squishies, at least you won't be adding to the problem. Can run over the game being a hard carry or if behind can at least add poke, a tough body and CC

  4. Warwick Easy jungler to learn even with a passive to let you know when to gank if you're bad at looking at the minimap or health bars. Can be built to be tanky or high damage carry, but useful in all comps with a suppression and AoE fear. Simple to learn but has many tricks to use him at a higher level. Very strong at duelling so he can invade and defend against invades alone against anyone, unlike some assassin or utility junglers

  5. Lucian Ezreal Have dashes to duel or escape that will teach you how to juke or abuse terrain which can be applied to other champs. Can be taken as ADC or mid and both have multiple build paths that'll teach you how to optimize against certain comps or champs. Usually the you don't want to build the exact same thing every time blindly on most champs so breaking that habit w these 2 are also help

  6. Nasus Another super versatile multi role champ. Can be top, jg and even AP mid. Can be a Q farm king, or E spamming tank lane pusher or AP E nuker. Learning the diff playstyles and build types means he has 0 bad matchups top. If they pick a ranged poke champ top you opt for E start and shove them and their lane with E which literally cannot miss

Learning how to use a champ properly w lots of practice has much more impact than picking something "meta" that you dont know how to control properly. Champs w multi lanes make it a lot easier to transition to other roles
