Buffing twitch? Why is Sivir still so weak

I'm sure people will hit me with sivir win rates saying she is good and fine. She is just a safe pick and maybe the easiest adc to not feed and get carried. Sivir feels extremely bad to play. At no point in the game will you have the burst of a varus, Tristana, or vayne. She may be the " utility adc " but she feels awful compared to the other options. Just seems lame that twitch is getting damage buffs when other people need help. Sivir was just an example

Sivir's main issue is that she does a lot of things other ADCs can do but worse. Kiting is Ashe's thing, Poking is easily a toss up between Caitlyn and Varus, Wave Clear any adc can do with Runaan's or Shiv. Only thing truly unique about her is her Spell Shield, and even then it gives her mana sustain as opposed to something like Nocturnes Attack Speed steroid.

Honestly, I don't recall much of pre-rework Sivir (yes she was reworked, although not much), but I believe she could use some quality of life adjustments to her kit (E could do something to reward her with healing so she has sustain in lane and teamfights to some extent).

Not really lol. Sivir's waveclear is top tier if not the best among ADCs. Waveclear is not just the ability to clear a wave in an empty lane. She throws a Q and autos the first few melee while the ricochet clears the rest. She clears waves in 2 seconds with little risk. Her late game damage output is also top tier. Then she also gets the team utility. This is why she was hard nerfed in the past. She was pick/ban at Worlds S6.

The reason why she's weak is because her early was made to be awful. She has super high mana costs and not a lot of Mana. They forced her into an ER build which doesn't go well with how snowbally the game is. If she can get to endgame she's still a beast.

That's why Sivir isn't great right now

Thing is, if they give a utility adc more damage, what would be the reason to pick a hypercarry, if you just pick sivir and have the best of both worlds.

It is, she does see proplay in dive comps, especially with the rising popularity of olaf.

May just not be your style. I personally (and I'm hot garbage, don't play ranked) perfer utility ADCs, so whereas she doesn't have the burst or the flashy elements, she does have the steady and solid output of damage. I'd suggest you focus on playing other ADCs that match your playstyle/kit preference. You may happier.

Perhaps the thing we're talking about here is not whether or not Sivir is Utility but whether her utility is good enough for her to be decent. Currently I think her utility is very lacklustre. Considering her spell shield which is really for her own benefit to dodge spells as she doesn't have a dash, root stun etc which other adcs do, the only other utility ability she has is R and that's for either 1 of two things engage or disengage. Unless you have a dive base team comp she gets outperformed by a lot of other adc's currently. I have seen her in ranked a couple times both of which she was very unimpressive - that said Rekkles played her in the pros.....maybe he knows something we don't.

Comparing her kit though to the new adc's (Kai Sa, Jhin, Xyah) - she is very boring in my opinion.

Sivir can siege better than any other marksman. She doesn't have to buy Shiv or Hurricane which means she can get both IE and ER which is very powerful. Also because her W can crit and how hectic teamfights are if you crit one W in a fight you basically auto all fight enemies with one auto. That's massive for winning fights.

Late game, definitely. Getting to that point can be very painful. She tends to lose hard if the other team snowballs early/mid game from my experience.

She is very one-dimensional and possibly the least flashy ADC in the game. For my own part, I relate to her simplicity and tend to approach the ADC role from a "support my team by doing damage". She matches my mentality. My other teammates tend to be the flashy ones.

Sivir has a decent burst combo in Auto W Q or some variation as you have an auto attack reset as well as the Q which has like a 110% AD scaling max rank. She has damage and wave clear. She enables slow teams with her R.
