had a mid zyra telling me zyra had no skillshots besides her root...started a heated discussion with 2 of our teammates agreeing with her and my top lane agreeing with me about her q and ult. I'm dumbfounded to me there is 3 types of casts skillshots, click to cast, and self cast. her q dosnt fall under the last two so its a skillshot you choose where it goes and depending on your skill pertains to the effectiveness. Am I wrong?
its a non projectile skill shot. which is probably where the confusion comes from.
i personally only consider shit to be a skill shot if the giant penis arrow comes up
Altho the vast majority of people consider shit like Annis Ult (similar to zyra Q/ult) and cones to be skill shots
I just never really considered them that way because they're so hard to miss (not zyras Q, but cones/annies ult)
I think most people wouldn't consider it a skillshot because there's not projectile to aim that comes directly from your body to the intended area so it doesn't feel like a classic skillshot
If its not a skillshot wtf do you call it....i mean it takes skill cus you could put it under your plants/enemy and cause damage or you could put it over yonder and do nothing. you cant do that with a click to cast like teemos blind all you could do wrong is click on the wrong thing or have your fingers on the wrong buttons.
It's a targeted zone, like Morgana's W, Kindred's W, Singed's W, Karthus wall, Malz wall, Anivia wall, etc etc.
i understand the concept of a shot coming from you and going to target direction but what about victor q (or whatever it is) i feel like morg pool and such are skillshots too cus you can place them in the perfect place with skill or you can make them useless.
